ASHER GRIFFITH-JONES AS DOUG

Asher Griffith-Jones (he/him) is ecstatic to be presenting Gruesome Playground Injuries with Barkly Theatre.

A Melbourne/Naarm based actor and graduate of 16th Street Actor Studio, Asher has worked across theatre, film, and musical theatre. Some of his stage credits include One of Them Ones, Marathon Hamlet, and the parody musical Love Actually. On screen, he recently appeared in the feature film Ice Road: Vengeance alongside Liam Neeson.

Critics have praised Asher’s work for its “tremendous emotional presence,” “excellent clowning,” and “poise and charisma” that “clearly hide deep wells of fear and anger.”

Asher would like to thank Barkly Theatre for trusting him with this role, Rajiv Joseph for his writing, and everyone who continues to support independent theatre.

Gruesome Playground Injuries plays at The Motley Bauhaus from July 1 - 11.
