"About time is a fun and casual DJ school for people who don’t have access to DJ equipment and/or a safe learning environment. The school will be visited by some of Melbourne’s favourite DJs.
Every Wednesday evening we will open Hugs and Kisses up and allow students to foster their skills on the club’s ‘Funktion One’ sound system.
About time is for beginners; absolutely no previous experience is necessary.
There will be limited numbers unfortunately. However we hope to overcome this by running two sessions per night.
Please note before expressing interest: We are prioritising LGBTQIA+ and Women.
To apply all you have to do is :
1. Send in a little paragraph on why you want to be a part of the project
2. Make a list of five of your favourite tracks & why you love them
3. send in above info to [email protected]

There is no denying the association between music and mental health. Magnetic Magazine talked to several DJs about their take on the positive impact music has on mental health.

"So even when I was alone, music was there and helped me get through that phase of loneliness. It’s like your best friend that you can count on when there’s no one else there. On the other hand, music is also wonderful 'tool' to get to know new people very fast.
