Art Workshop at Muulga will be on tommorrow, so if you need a lift please contact Nephi. We still only have our tiny hire bus, so if you want a spot in the bus, please contact Nephi to arrange pick up. We will not be doing any workshops next week, as Nephi is away representing Girramay people and we do not have our bus. We will be getting our new bus in time for the Art workshops to resume on Tuesday the 6th of October. See you then! Below is 'Bagu in the Leaves' lino print by Girramay artist Venetta Denham.

Yesterday we sent two large wooden bagu sculptures to the Australian Museum in Sydney. These amazing carved and ochre painted wooden sculptures made by Gulnay artist Clarence Kinjun and Jirrbal Artist Judith Henry will be on display at the main entrance to an upcoming exhibition at the Museum. We can't wait to see them in the exhibition. Thanks to Kalkani Choolburra at the Australian Museum for your support.

We’re excited to welcome our two new Arts Workers, Trisha and Marley Beeron to the Girringun Art Centre!

Our Arts Workers are not only supporting the work and activities of the Art Centre, but they are artists themselves, bringing their own creativity, cultural knowledge, stories and connections to Country to the centre.

We would also like to acknowledge the funding from the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Industry Support (IVIAS) for funding for our Arts Worker positions. We can't run the Art Centre without our wonderful Arts Workers.
