RCAS offers a wonderful range of regular art classes and creative groups, including watercolour, pencil drawing, oil painting, urban sketching, portraiture, art journaling and Art Jam.

Whether you’re an experienced artist, returning to art after a break, or keen to try something completely new, there’s a friendly place waiting for you at RCAS.

ARTIST SHOUT-OUT — Julie McSpedden Art

We are absolutely delighted to share some very exciting news about one of our talented RCAS tutors, Julie McSpedden.

Julie has been selected to teach at the 2026 Gel Printers Summit—an international online event featuring gel plate artists and instructors from around the world.

Her workshop, Gel Prints to Finished Art: A Botanical Vase Collage, will show participants how to transform their beautiful gel prints into a finished botanical artwork using composition, repetition, colour and collage.

Being invited to teach at an international summit is a wonderful achievement and a terrific recognition of Julie’s creativity, knowledge and skill as a tutor. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of the RCAS tutoring team.

Congratulations, Julie! We can’t wait to see your workshop—and we suspect quite a few neglected piles of gel prints are finally going to find their purpose!

We’re very excited to be taking part in the Bendigo Bank Community Raffle again — and this year we’ve set ourselves a challenge: we’d love to double what we raised last time.

This really is one of the easiest fundraising opportunities RCAS could ask for. No buying stock, no organising a stall, and no spending our weekends turning sausages at Bunnings!

Every ticket sold through Redland Coast Art Society helps raise funds for RCAS — and tickets are just $5 each.

We currently have 863 wonderful followers on our page. If just half of you bought one $5 ticket, together we could raise more than $2,000 for RCAS.

And of course, there’s something rather nice in it for you too…

$30,000 in prize money
$15,000 first prize
Tickets just $5 each

So if you can, buy a ticket, buy a few, and please share the raffle with your family and friends.

Every ticket helps us continue to grow, improve our facilities, support local artists and provide creative opportunities for our community.

Supporting RCAS through the Bendigo Bank Community Raffle

Our Acting President, Julia Hahn, recently met with JH from Bendigo Bank to collect our tickets for this year’s Community Raffle.

RCAS is delighted to be taking part, with funds raised through our ticket sales coming directly back to support the Society and the work we do for our members and the wider creative community.

We’d love our members, friends and supporters to get behind us by purchasing a ticket or two. Every ticket sold helps raise valuable funds for RCAS — and you’ll also be in with a chance to win one of the great prizes on offer.

Please support RCAS and help us make the most of this fantastic fundraising opportunity.

Looking for something inspiring to do today?

Why not pop into the Redland Coast Art Society Gallery and enjoy our Open Theme Exhibition, featuring a wonderful collection of original artwork by talented local artists.

With a wide variety of styles, subjects and mediums on display, there's something to inspire everyone.

Art Jam is also happening today, making it a great time to drop in, browse the exhibition and enjoy the creative atmosphere.

WOW... what a morning!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to today's RCAS Art & Craft Destash Market.

It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces, bargains changing hands, and creative conversations happening all morning. Our stallholders did an amazing job, and judging by the smiles (and the full shopping bags! ), there were plenty of treasures heading off to new homes.

To everyone who supported us by attending, sharing our posts, or having a stall—thank you. Community events like this only happen because people get behind them.

And to those already asking...

Yes... there will definitely be another one!
