🌊 Edge of the Water – Seascape Painting Workshop 🌊
with Jenny Blake

We’re excited to be hosting a beautiful, hands-on seascape painting workshop with the fabulous Jenny Blake at Tyger.

In Edge of the Water, Jenny will guide participants through her approach to painting the meeting point of land and sea – exploring light, movement, atmosphere and colour in a relaxed, supportive setting.

This is a chance to slow down, explore your own skills, and spend time painting with one of the region’s much-loved landscape painters.

🗓 Sunday 22 February
🕜 1.30–3.30pm
📍 Tyger Gallery, Yass

The workshop is suitable for all levels, and all materials are provided.

Places are limited, and a few spots have already been snapped up, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s a good time to take a look.

👉 Book your spot at https://buff.ly/C9K5hUe

We’d love to have you at the table.

CALL OUT PIN SHOW

Australian National Capital Artists Inc

📍ANCA Gallery is holding an open call for applications for PIN 10 from professional artists, designers, jewellers and makers throughout Australia.

Since ANCA Gallery's inaugural PIN Show of 2011, the concept of reducing scale and homing in on a wearable miniature platform has appealed to many artists from a range of practices—including weavers, sculptors, printmakers, painters, ceramicists, jewellers, photographers, woodworkers and glass artists.

Criteria
* All works must be miniature wearable artworks, fixed with a ‘pin’ or other device and easy to fasten or wear.
* Works can be part of a set of wearable pieces, e.g. a brooch might ‘break’ apart into earrings or be capable of being worn as a neckpiece.
* PIN 10 is open to applications from Australian professional artists and designers working in Australia or who hold Australian citizenship.

One consequence of Cézanne’s extremely slow-paced working method was that he received barely any portrait commissions. As a result, most of the portraits he painted were of close acquaintances. In this half-length painting, Portrait of Madame Cézanne (1885) reveals little of the arduous sittings, and yet its intense presence is a classic example of the art of Cézanne.
