🚨 Audition opportunity!

The team behind The Good Boy Game at The Q - Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre are looking for two female-identifying performers in their 40s-60s to play two of the central characters in this thrilling dark comedy.

A teenage boy plans an act of violence. His parents decide to not call the authorities, but rather to lock him in the attic. They enforce a positive affirmation scheme to try and reverse his radicalisation. Everything crumbles.

The roles are below, please note both require American accents:

Mary-Beth Schroeder - playing age early-50s.
The mother to James. Well intentioned. Well educated.

Judith - around Mary-Beth's age.
Mary-Beth's therapist. Empathetic and optimistic.

Auditions will be held at The B on Sunday, 29 March, and will occur in 15-minute time slots.

📣 Every Lovely Terrible Thing production update 📣

After much discussion and consultation, Off the Ledge has had to make the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming production of Every Lovely Terrible Thing.

While this is disappointing news, we remain committed to bringing this beautiful work to life in the near-future, and giving it the staging it deserves.

Thank you to everyone who has been invested in this work for your ongoing support, we promise this isn't the end for ELTT – keep an eye out for more updates into the future!

🤡 Physical Theatre Artists – this one’s for you!

Award-winning Canadian mime artist Joylyn Secunda is coming to Tuggeranong Arts Centre this March for a hands-on mime workshop. Through movement training, ensemble exercises, and creative prompts, build original material while sharpening your skills in physical storytelling, comedy, and character creation.

Perfect for actors, devisers, dancers, and theatre-makers wanting to expand their expressive range. No experience needed.

Adults workshop: 6 – 9 pm, Wednesday 25 March, 2026. Tickets $30 / $25.

That's a wrap 💚

After multiple sold-out shows and rave reviews, Never Closer closed on Saturday night, and we couldn't be happier with it.

📣 Every Lovely Terrible Thing Prod Team Callout!

As we near the end of Never Closer's critically-acclaimed season, it's time to look ahead to our next production. We're putting the call out to the Canberra theatre community for anyone interested in working on a fresh, q***r Australian play from a new and exciting theatre company!

All roles will be paid on a profit-share basis, and the production process will begin within the next few weeks, in preparation for a season at ACT Hub from 14–23 May.
