Hey everyone. One of the biggest gigs of the year is being held at Smith's Alternative NEXT TUESDAY 03/09/2019.

The Miroslav Bukovsky/John Mackey Quintet will be playing some of Miro's greatest tunes. $25 for standard, $15 for concession and $10 for ANU Students!

Hi everyone,

The next installment in the "Jazz at the Lab" series is an exciting one, welcoming "The North". "The North" is a jazz quartet creating music combining the experiences of jazz musicians living in Canada and Scandinavia. Their recording “The North” won Canada's top music prize, the 2018 Juno Award for Jazz Album of the Year (Group). It features David Braid, piano (CANADA), Mike Murley, saxophone (CANADA), Johnny Åman, bass, (FINLAND/SWEDEN) and Anders Mogensen, drums (DENMARK). Their original compositions showcase the skills that have brought them international acclaim as artists who seamlessly combine classical and jazz music.

Please note: This concert will be held on Wed Apr 24, and has been re-located, thanks to the generosity of the Finnish ambassador, Lars Backström, to the Finnish Embassy (12 Darwinia Ave, Yarralumla) at 7.30. The Lab cafe in ANU’s Kambri Centre, the original venue, will not be finished in time.

Hi everyone,

For those who don't know me, my name is Isaac Said, andI'm an ANU student studying bass. I will be doing advertising for gigs in Canberra for this page, and since the ANU Pop-up has been knocked down, Geoff Page has decided to rename the page... We are now... Jazz at the Lab. Like and stay tuned on this page for updates on the gigs around Canberra, and specifically for the new venue in Kambri where gigs will be held.
