Umbela Brasil is proudly supporting the Australian Government’s consultation for a new National Cultural Policy - and we encourage our community to do the same. 🇦🇺🎶⁣

Culture is not just entertainment. It is identity, memory, language, movement, storytelling, ancestry, community and belonging. Projects like Shared Rhythms exist because cultural exchange and preservation matter deeply - especially for communities carrying traditions across diaspora. ❤️❤️⁣

The Australian Government is currently inviting artists, cultural practitioners and communities to help shape the future of arts and culture in this country through a new National Cultural Policy consultation.⁣

At Umbela Brasil, we believe multicultural cultural practice deserves meaningful recognition, support and long-term investment. Samba, rhythm, dance, oral histories and community-led cultural spaces are not fringe experiences - they are living cultural ecosystems that connect people across generations and borders.⁣

If you care about the future of arts, culture and community in Australia, we encourage you to contribute your voice to the conversation.⁣
