Umbela Brasil is proudly supporting the Australian Government’s consultation for a new National Cultural Policy - and we encourage our community to do the same. 🇦🇺🎶
Culture is not just entertainment. It is identity, memory, language, movement, storytelling, ancestry, community and belonging. Projects like Shared Rhythms exist because cultural exchange and preservation matter deeply - especially for communities carrying traditions across diaspora. ❤️❤️
The Australian Government is currently inviting artists, cultural practitioners and communities to help shape the future of arts and culture in this country through a new National Cultural Policy consultation.
At Umbela Brasil, we believe multicultural cultural practice deserves meaningful recognition, support and long-term investment. Samba, rhythm, dance, oral histories and community-led cultural spaces are not fringe experiences - they are living cultural ecosystems that connect people across generations and borders.
If you care about the future of arts, culture and community in Australia, we encourage you to contribute your voice to the conversation.
