Yarralumla Play Station, home of Weston Park Miniature Railway, an iconic Canberran business that has been operating since 1973 is undergoing a major transformation at the moment! Under new ownership, we’ve updated our café, dining area and also recently added 3 fully restored historic NSW train carriages from 1910 for use as our function rooms and soon to be amenities block. In conjunction with a

complete change in business focus and rebranding, we’re embracing all that Canberra has to offer and are generating it in the form of a 36-hole Canberra themed Miniature Golf course! The course includes a scale 25 metre wide Lake Burley Griffin, The Parliamentary Triangle with both the Commonwealth and Kings Avenue bridges plus several other Canberra landmarks. A cherished business held dear by multiple generations of Canberran's set to show interstate families and remind locals to what our old girl Canberra and Bluebell have to offer. There’s no age restriction for a game of golf or a ride on “Bluebell” our miniature train, and blend this with the park location, lake views and extremely high traffic this equates to wide ranging age, social and cultural demographics. Our services not only include mini golf and a mini train, we also cater birthday and function packages for old school fun on the jumping castle or exclusive historic carriage hire as a backdrop for photographers and film crew alike. We were delighted to welcome the second group of Year 12 students from Canberra Girls Grammar School this week.

What a fantastic initiative—giving students the opportunity to step away from the books, take a breath, de-stress, relax, and enjoy some time outdoors before Test Week begins.

Whether it was exploring, laughing with friends, or simply enjoying a change of pace, we hope the experience provided a well-deserved reset before the busy weeks ahead.

🐐 If you've visited recently and wondered why our little girl Sugar is hanging out with the chooks, there's a reason...

Sugar has officially earned the title of YPS Escape Artist Extraordinaire.

She worked out where the chicken feed was kept and kept helping herself, so we moved it in with Trevor the Turkey, thinking that might slow her down.

As if that was ever going to stop Sugar! 😂

Just check out those jumping skills. We are fairly certain she is already planning her next mission.

It's always hard to show just how big YPS really is.

This isn't a quick trip. It's a place to explore, wander, discover and spend time together.

Take the long way. Get lost in the maze. Visit the animals. Play a round of mini golf. Grab a coffee and stay awhile.

YPS welcomed Canberra Girls Grammar School today for the first of three sessions, and wow... did they get lost in the Maze!

There were plenty of "ooooohs" and "wowwws" in the Infinity Room, lots of laughs, and before anyone knew it, time had flown by.

It was certainly a different kind of PT session, with students exploring, problem-solving, getting lost, finding their way, and creating plenty of memories along the way.

We look forward to welcoming the next two groups and seeing who can conquer the Maze.

What a truly beautiful day at Yarralumla Play Station as we welcomed the Canberra Palestinian Community to celebrate the end of Eid.

Families gathered, children laughed, friendships were strengthened and the spirit of community filled every corner of YPS. From wandering the Maze, to enjoying Mini Golf, Farm Friends, great food and coffee, it was a day full of connection, culture and joy.

At YPS, everyone is welcome. Different cultures, different stories, different backgrounds — coming together to connect, explore and celebrate what makes community so special.

Thank you for choosing to celebrate with us. It was an honour to share such a special occasion with your community and to see Weston Park filled with warmth, colour and happiness.
