Gosh, where do I even start?
This team of 60 incredible humans is made up of so many smaller teams, our Office team, Crew team, Troupe team, Ballet team, DC Fit team, Blueberries team and our core Mainstream team.
Every single person at Dance Central makes a genuine impact in their role. DC simply would not be what it is without the care, talent, energy and individual magic each person brings.
They are the people behind the classes, opportunities, performances, encouragement, organisation and thousands of little moments that make our students and families feel part of something special.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned in business is that you can have the best strategy in the world, but it’s your people and your culture that ultimately make a business great.
There’s a saying I love: if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. And that feels so true of this team.
Each year, we celebrate Christmas in July because we work incredibly hard and absolutely deserve a good celebration! But more importantly, I believe great culture has to be intentionally created. With so many different teams and timetables, we don’t always get the opportunity to simply be together.
Sometimes leadership is also knowing when to put the tools down, step away from the day-to-day and create space for people to connect, celebrate each other and remember that they’re part of something bigger.
I genuinely love coming to work because I get to work with people I trust, admire and respect and people who care deeply about what they do.
To our beautiful DC team: thank you for showing up the way you do, for caring, for backing each other and for making the magic happen. I am so incredibly grateful for you.
And to our DC community, feel free to show your teachers, coaches or admin team some love in the comments. They deserve it. 💛
