We’re expecting a rather special display at Scale ACT 26, complimenting (but unfortunately not coinciding with) the current ‘Antarctica’ exhibition at the National Museum of Australia.
Matt McArthur, modeller, Antarctica enthusiast, and presenter of the Ice Coffee Podcast, will be presenting a special display of aircraft that have been used in the far south. In Matt’s own words:

“Spurred by a lifelong fascination for Antarctica, experiences flying to and from the ice, and extensive reading on the topic, Matt McArthur focused his hobby on representing airframes used in the far south. These models represent a decade working this groove whenever a kit or a decal set offered scope to highlight Antarctic history. More kits await Antarctic attention in Matt's stash, and far more airframes have operated in Antarctica in far more liveries than any hobbyist might address in one lifetime. Put some skis on something and see where it leads you. Fascinating stories and exotic schemes await.”
