his year we welcome guest artist, Fabian Hevia, who is an icon in the Australian Latin drumming and percussion world. Fabian has been a member of many great ensembles, most notably Wanderlust and The Catholics. He will be providing workshops for some of our jazz ensembles during the afternoon and performing in the evening with selected student ensembles and his own ensemble.

In addition to our guest artist, audience members will be treated to music provided by our two Big Bands, our Precision Percussion ensemble and Dry Fish Jazz ensemble.

Audience members are invited to bring their own food and drink to enjoy throughout the evening as tables will be provided to help create an appropriate “Carnivale” atmosphere.

Charlie Pilgrim (or a Beginner's Guide to Time Travel) - Yrs 7-8 drama production

Have you ever wished you could change the past?
As Charlie travels back in time, they create a new version of themselves, and things quickly become complicated. As different versions of Charlie collide, one question emerges: could you win an argument with yourself if it meant saving the world and getting your life back?

Our Years 7 and 8 drama production explores the big question: how far would you go to fix a mistake? Directors Oli Johnston and Tia Priest-Willimott – two immensely talented Collegians – have expertly guided the cast to bring this clever and thought-provoking story to life.

Charlie Pilgrim (or The Beginner’s Guide To Time Travel)
Year 7-8 Production
Have you ever wanted to change the past? Charlie Pilgrim has. And with the prototype of her time machine – The Mobius – ready for a test run, she was hoping to get her chance.

Unfortunately, starting up the machine has accidentally created a closed time loop that adds a new Charlie every twenty-four hours. With the population rising and group dynamics coming into play, things go from Interstellar to Lord of the Flies pretty fast. To save her soul, and prevent the universe from collapsing under the weight of a mounting series of mind-bending paradoxes, Charlie is forced to do battle with herself.

Comedic genius Ken Ludwig transforms Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure.
Sherlock Holmes is on the case. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Watch as our intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than forty characters.
Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover the truth in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.

Roald Dahl lovers will enjoy our comical Years 5-6 Production of Fantastic Mr Fox adapted by Sally Reid.
18–20 June

"Boggis and Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean
These horrible crooks
So different in looks
Were nonetheless equally mean."

And so begins another enchanting Roald Dahl tale concerning the extraordinary adventures of three nasty farmers, two curious creatures, a family of foxes, and our hero — a most fantastic fellow! Your audience will be fascinated as they watch Boggis, the (enormously fat!) chicken farmer; Bunce, the (pot-bellied dwarf) duck-and-goose farmer; and Bean, the (thin) turkey-and-apple farmer, attempt to foil the efforts of Mr. Fox and his friends — the Badgers, the Moles, the Rabbits and the Weasels.
And then, of course, they'll be held in suspense as the animals unwittingly trap themselves in Bean's Secret Cider Cellar — much to the displeasure of Rat (a rude creature) and all appear doomed. In the end, they'll cheer as Mr. Fox provides a glorious feast for each and every one — and gives rise to Mrs. Fox's proclamation that "My husband is one fantastic fox!" Certainly this show is lively and suspenseful and we're sure you will also find it a whole lot of fun!
