Ta Daa! One mega weekend behind us, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the final mural from Paste Your Place: Kingston Arts Precinct.

Over 500 people had a hand in creating this across the two days. First, locals and young people on hand to create the 'place' backdrop of the mural, then passers by at the Old Bus Depot Markets added themselves into it - and gee they got creative!

Can you see the couple riding a seagull? Or, the giant coffee cup with four people jumping out? Maybe you can spot yourself! We loved seeing young and old alike getting playful with their poses.

The end result of this weekend's Paste Your Place activation will be a large scale, freestanding photographic mural. This mural will be installed outdoors for a minimum three months, just near the site of the future Kingston Arts Precinct!

As well as that, conversations held during the weekend will be added to the ArtsACT Place Brief, informing the development of the Kingston Arts Precinct. How cool is that? Art as dialogue, art as placemaking, and art as real change.

Let's say hello shall we? We're Kate and Fred, the team behind Paste Your Place.

Kate is a photomedia artist, whose practice explores the challenges in our public spaces. She uses collage to present the pluralities inherent in these spaces, and has been known to embark on large, ambitious, super gluey paste-up projects...

Fred is a placemaker, producer, artist and award winning egg farmer! With an insatiable thirst for engaging and well planned community events, he'll have the ideas and the energy to make sure everyone's having a good time.
