I’m Alia, (uh-lee-uh)— a digital and acrylic portrait artist based in Australia, and yes, I did move here from Canada at 23 for a music diploma and just… never left. (Nine years later, citizenship is basically within reach and honestly? No regrets.)
Art has always been my sanity. But after my son was born, I genuinely thought I’d lost it forever. That version of me — the one who made things — felt gone. Then one quiet afternoon while he napped, I sat by the window and painted what I saw. Just like that, she came back.
That moment changed everything.
I quit my receptionist job in April 2026 to finally back myself and do this full time.
Right now I’m deep in a motherhood portrait series — raw, real, and full of the feeling nobody talks about enough.
I also take commissions — digital portraits and acrylics — because honestly, watching someone’s vision come to life is one of the best feelings I know. 🥹
If any of this resonates with you, stick around, and hit as many buttons as you can. It’s just getting good.

50% of the time I’m ready to be on camera. The other 50%, I’m in my pyjamas with no bra. 🤷🏼‍♀️. Those are the days I live for tbh.

Ok I know this is cheesy but remember a couple weeks ago when I celebrated just TEN?! Hahah
Feeling bit of momentum!

I got over 50 reactions on my posts last week! Thanks everyone for your support! 🎉

It’s .
I’ve had vitiligo for as long as I can remember, probably since low single digits. We don’t know why I got it at such a young age, but my brother got it in his thirties. We, and my great Uncle are the only in our family that we know of.

There’s a lot of mental load that comes with such a visible skin condition. I see the stares from strangers when I wear an outfit that reveals my skin, especially at the beach. It doesn’t bother me anymore. I used to feel the judgement for the rest of the day and now I move along.
I’ve tried to exclude it from my self portraits but it doesn’t feel right so I always include it because it’s a part of me, a part of my identity.

My vitiligo comes and goes in the last 9 years. It seems that my stress levels are deeply connected —which makes sense since it’s an autoimmune disorder. During pregnancy I was as chill as a cucumber and I got a lot of pigment back on my hands hips and thighs but while my toddler is little I’ve had to accept that it’s not going to stay because… well our toddler doesn’t sleep… haha.
Anyway; just saying Hi and letting anyone new here know what’s the what: ✨😊
