A closer look at the material palette of Riva.

Our Moroccan Zellige tiles in Honey bring warmth, movement and beautiful tonal variation to Riva’s waterfront interior.

Handcrafted and inherently individual, the softly irregular surfaces of the Zellige interact beautifully with the changing natural light.

The warm Honey tones complement the natural stone and sun-washed palette throughout the space, adding another layer of texture while reinforcing Riva’s connection to the warmth and relaxed elegance of the Italian Riviera.

A beautiful example of how material, colour and natural light can work together to shape the feeling of a space.

Riva, Rose Bay.

Perched above Rose Bay Marina, Riva brings the warmth and glamour of the Italian Riviera to Sydney Harbour. Layered vintage detailing, warm materials and waterfront light create a space that feels refined yet relaxed.

We loved partnering with SRG Hospitality to develop and supply a custom material palette that responds to this vision, combining natural stone, rich colour and beautifully tactile finishes.

Our Renaissance stone features throughout the restaurant in Botticino and Sienna Dusty Pink. The softly tumbled finish gives the stone a beautiful, time-worn character, with 150 x 150mm tiles defining the restaurant entry and a custom-designed mosaic framing the bar at floor level.

Together, the different applications bring warmth, texture and a sense of history to the interior — a subtle nod to the enduring beauty of Italian design.

A considered interplay of scale, texture and warm materiality at St Andrew's JCR.

The renewed Junior Common Room & Highlander Bar blends heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design, led by .higginbotham.

Villa Bianco Matt 604 × 906mm floor tiles are paired with Sabbia Uni Matt Tumbled 95 × 95mm mosaics in a stacked pattern. The contrast in size and finish creates subtle shifts across the floor, helping to define different zones within the space while maintaining a cohesive palette.

Set amongst the tiles, the St Andrew's College lion crest becomes part of the floor itself, a considered detail that brings a distinct sense of identity to the space.

In this White Rock home, the boundary between inside and out is deliberately blurred, with Venetian Scarpa travertine flooring flowing through the kitchen. The space is built to handle the reality of family life, while still feeling considered, sophisticated and personal. Mosaic travertine lends the home its perfectly imperfect character.

White Rock is a project that feels particularly personal to us. Garth Elliott and Chloe Matters are both long-time friends of Surface Gallery, so having the opportunity to contribute to a home they developed together made this one incredibly special.

Travertine Scarpa was selected for the kitchen floor, transitioning into Titanium Travertine through the living areas. Although different in finish and character, the two stones sit comfortably beside one another and connect naturally with the exposed sandstone and landscape surrounding the home.

White Rock is the result of people we know and admire bringing their individual strengths together. We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in it.

Introducing Fusion Green Quartzite, a striking new addition to our stone collection, defined by its fluid, wave-like patterns that echo the movement of the ocean. Subtle green-grey tones are layered with bands of warm, earthy hues, creating depth and natural harmony. Durable yet elegant, this quartzite brings both strength and serenity to interiors, making it ideal for benchtops, vanities and statement surfaces.

Where the Savannah Antique marble recedes into the walls, the Scarpa Mosaics bring the eye back in. Their split edge honed finish and irregular rectangular pieces introduce a quiet tactility to the shower, a deliberate shift in texture that keeps the palette cohesive while giving the space something to discover up close.
