We are thrilled to announce that Lynda Draper: 'Glimmer' has won both the Dulux Colour Awards and the Australian Interior Design Awards.

Presented at Campbelltown Arts Centre, ‘Glimmer’ is a survey exhibition of Thirroul-based artist Lynda Draper, creating a space for contemplation and imagination. Featuring loans from major public institutions and private collections, the exhibition also debuts new works which incorporate glass and bronze for the first time – offering an in-depth exploration of Draper’s practice.

Celebrating 40 years of colour excellence, the prestigious Dulux Colour Awards recognise innovation and excellence in the transformative use of Dulux Colour in the built environment. For the first time in its 40-year history, the Australian Grand Prix has been awarded to a project from the Temporary and Installation Design category.

The Australian Interior Design Awards recognise and celebrate interior design excellence via a credible, industry-based program, which is backed by the Design Institute of Australia, the professional body representing Australian designers.

"[Lynda Draper: Glimmer] is a stunning symbiotic relationship between installation and the artwork itself – one that you don’t see often. The jury unanimously agreed that Glimmer is a true celebration of Draper’s work, with a level of precision and flexibility that is rare, including display typography that has been skilfully manoeuvred to honour the work and the space the work occupies." - Jury Citation

Congratulations to Lynda Draper and Exhibition Designer Youssofzay Hart for both of these monumental achievements.

Closing soon | C*Town Conservatory: The ArtHITects (Gary Carsley and Renjie Teoh)

Recognising Campbelltown Arts Centre’s long-standing mission to support artists in the creation of new and commissioned work, C*Town Conservatory reimagines the history and architecture of the conservatory.

Once a symbol of aristocratic prestige and colonial exploitation of the natural world, the ArtHITects have transformed the glass-walled foyer of Campbelltown Arts Centre into a fantastical, inclusive space for community, reflection, and creative exchange.

The project embeds the history of the CAC’s diverse cross-media programming into ornamental QR codes, evoking breeze-block patterns of Australian suburbia and global architectural traditions.

Join us this Saturday 27 June for the closing event and artist talks at Campbelltown Arts Centre.

We are excited to announce Zara Collins is the Focus Artist of the 2026 Friends Annual and Focus Exhibition.

Zara Collins' practice examines the unstable nature of memory and the stories inherited in childhood—how they shift, distort, and fade over time. The body of work included in this exhibition considers our longing for an idealised past and the fragile, sensory triggers that allow memory to surface at the edge of disappearance.

Working with porcelain, ceramics and Kozo paper, Collins explores these ideas through everyday objects—familiar textile forms and personal clothing that carry intimate histories of care, collection, repetitive use and repair.

Zara Collins’ is a multidisciplinary artist, predominantly working with porcelain and paper. She has held eight solo exhibitions, multiple group exhibitions and been a finalist in numerous Australian art awards including the Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize 2024, Fisher’s Ghost Art Award, Hazlehurst Art on Paper Award, Meroogal Women’s Art Prize, Hobart Art Prize and the Gold Coast International Ceramic Award to name a few.

Join us this Saturday to hear more about Zara's body of work alongside the following exhibitions: 'Zico Albaiquni: ‘To all the steps that shake the land’s memory', Kirtika Kain: ‘Pitch’, Gillian Kayrooz & L-FRESH The LION: ‘The Sky Between Us’ and the closing weekend of ‘C*Town Conservatory’ by The ArtHITects (Gary Carsley and Renjie Teoh).

Our friends at Bonnie Curtis Projects present (un)bound 2.0, which brings together four emerging choreographers with bold, distinct voices, each interrogating the forces that shape, restrict, and define our bodies.

This is a night of fresh voices and urgent ideas, where bodies are challenged, identities are questioned, and the systems that shape us are pulled apart in real time.

Bodies collide, energy builds, and something electric happens in the room. No two works are the same, but all of them ask you to look again.

Sharp, playful, and unfiltered, (un)bound 2.0 invites you to experience what happens when boundaries are tested, and something begins to shift.

Featuring works by Bonnie Curtis, Bella Lopes de Oliveira, Sara Moad, and Tina Moss.

Join us next Saturday for the official opening of 'Zico Albaiquni: To all the steps that shake the land’s memory' at Campbelltown Arts Centre.

To celebrate the launch, there will be performances by Indonesian dancer Sekar Sari and by the Wiritjiribin dance group.

A long-time collaborator of Albaiquni's, Sekar Sari is an actor, dancer, and researcher currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of Melbourne through the project Indigenous Intercultural Bodies, which examines how Indigenous bodily movements resonate across cultural and geographical boundaries. Her current research focuses on Indonesian dance film as a form of intercultural cinema, with particular attention to embodiment, rasa, performance, and screen movement. Through both research and creative practice, she continues to explore how bodily expression, memory, and affect can foster connection across different cultural worlds.

Stay for an afternoon of artist talks exploring the following exhibitions: 'Zico Albaiquni: To all the steps that shake the land’s memory', Kirtika Kain: ‘Pitch’, Gillian Kayrooz & L-FRESH The LION: ‘The Sky Between Us’ and the Friends Annual and Focus 2026.
