Christmas 2026 is on its way! Making a Christmas centrepiece to remember

19/10/2026

If you’re still pretending CHRISTMAS isn’t basically tomorrow… look away now 🫣

Sunday’s Christmas Tree Workshop was an absolute festive shambles in the best way — clay flying, big laughs, and some seriously cute (and chaotic) trees.

These little legends will be fired + glazed and ready to steal the show in December. Stay tuned for more Christmas mischief 🎄✨

CHRISTMAS IS COMING TO SAMFORD POTTERS COLLECTIVE

Looking for a fun Christmas activity around Samford, Samford Valley, Brisbane North or the Moreton Bay region?

We’ve got two very special festive pottery workshops coming up — perfect for a Christmas catch-up with friends, a creative day out or simply an excuse to get your hands dirty before Christmas arrives.

CHRISTMAS TREE WORKSHOP
Sunday 18 October | 10am & Sunday 22nd November | 10am

Create a large handmade ceramic Christmas tree from clay, then decorate it with underglazes to make it completely your own.

Your workshop includes clay, instruction, two firings and a clear glaze finish so your tree will sparkle and last for years.

Plus, enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival.

WINTER WONDERLAND VILLAGE
Sundays 1, 8 & 15 November | 10am

Three sessions. One magical little village.

You’ll receive 1kg of clay to create whatever you imagine — houses, cottages, Christmas trees, snowmen, shops and more.

Spend the first two sessions building, sculpting and embellishing, then dedicate the final session to painting your village with underglazes before we clear glaze and fire everything.

Both workshops are beginner-friendly. No pottery experience needed.

Come with your friends, organise a Christmas catch-up, bring the family, or come solo and meet some lovely local people.

We’re only 5 minutes from Samford Village, with plenty of easy off-street parking.

SPOTS ARE LIMITED, AND BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN.

If you know someone who would love this, tag them below or share this post with your local crew.

A FEW SPOTS LEFT!

Been saying “I really want to learn pottery” for about three years now?

This is your sign.

Our 4-week Learn to Throw Pottery Wheel course starts Saturday 5th September, and we only have a few places left.

Over four weeks you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, how to centre clay, create mugs, bowls, plates and vases, and build the confidence to actually make things you’re proud of.

And one of the best bits? You get ONE FREE practice session every week during the course, so you can keep practising between classes and really get the hang of it. Practice clay is included too.

Four weeks. Lots of clay. A little frustration. Plenty of laughs. And hopefully the beginning of a very serious pottery addiction.

Held in our beautiful purpose-built studio in Samford Valley, surrounded by five peaceful acres and a very welcoming clay community.

If learning to throw has been on your list… this is your nudge.
