Our 4-week Learn to Throw Pottery Wheel course starts Saturday 5th September, and we only have a few places left.

Over four weeks you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, how to centre clay, create mugs, bowls, plates and vases, and build the confidence to actually make things you’re proud of.

And one of the best bits? You get ONE FREE practice session every week during the course, so you can keep practising between classes and really get the hang of it. Practice clay is included too.

Four weeks. Lots of clay. A little frustration. Plenty of laughs. And hopefully the beginning of a very serious pottery addiction.

Held in our beautiful purpose-built studio in Samford Valley, surrounded by five peaceful acres and a very welcoming clay community.

This is Jenny. Two years ago she walked into Samford Potters Collective - Brisbane with absolutely NO clay experience.

Fast forward two years and she’s now confidently handbuilding, throwing on the wheel and experimenting with techniques like sodium silicate to create this seriously cool distressed cracking effect. Basically… she got addicted to clay. Just like the rest of us.

If you’d like to be a bit more like Jenny, come and join us at Clay Club.

Our Wednesday and Friday 10am–2pm sessions are a relaxed, inclusive space for beginner and experienced potters to work on their own projects, learn from each other and have a good old clay chat along the way.

No monthly membership. No need to book. Just turn up when life allows.

Your session includes use of our wheels, slab roller, tools, equipment and firing, plus your own cubby, return box and clay storage. We’ve got the studio space and equipment covered — you just bring the clay (which you can buy from us).

Flexible pottery studio access, a supportive clay community and plenty of room to keep learning.
