I would just like to say a big thank you to Hilary Redfern and all of the team at Young Academics in Smeaton Grange for welcoming the Groovy Tunes early childhood music program into their service.

The children all had so much FUN and learned so many amazing songs using djembe drums, egg shakers and music scarves. It was so amazing watching them engage in using beat, rhythm, tempo and dynamics using the musical instruments and just express so much joy and excitement for learning through music.

This is a really fun way for children to learn about the four seasons. It’s just so much fun using dancing scarves to move and dance to or even using egg shakers and clap sticks to keep the beat or learn rhythm.

“Groovy Tunes” Early Childhood Music Education is excited to be invited to “Young Academics” open day this Saturday 23rd of March in Smeaton Grange from 10am.

Groovy Tunes Early Childhood music program will be starting group music classes at Young Academics starting next term.

Groovy Tunes is fun and dynamic and implements music activities based on children’s interests that encourage young children to use a range of musical instruments where they learn to use rhythm and beat using mini djembe drums, clap sticks and a range of percussion instruments in a really fun way!

The Groovy Tunes Early Childhood Music program is designed for young children to achieve learning a range of musical concepts and developmental learning outcomes reflected in the Early Years Learning Framework.
