We’re expecting a busy day, so if you’re coming along, please make sure you park only in marked parking bays and do not block driveways, access points or neighbouring properties.

PVRSC is currently reviewing an incident that occurred near the Centre entry area on Thursday 28 May 2026 at approximately 6:00 pm.

If you or your child were at the Centre around this time and experienced or witnessed anything concerning involving promotional activity, filming/photography, costumed performers, or interactions with children or venue users, we ask that you please make a report directly to Centre management.

This is being handled as a venue safety and wellbeing matter, and we are seeking information to assist our review.

PVRSC has recently implemented CareDesk, our platform for reporting incidents, issues and feedback. Anyone affected, or anyone who witnessed something relevant, is asked to please submit a report here:

🏀 Monday nights are almost full — but Tuesday nights are opening up!

Our basketball competitions are growing fast, with over 300 players already taking the court across all our competitions.

Monday nights have filled quickly, but we still have a few spaces available:

Men’s Division 1 — still looking for more strong teams. We already have high-level players involved, and we’re keen to keep building this division.

Men’s Division 2 — 1 spot left. Limited room remaining for teams ready to jump in.

Women’s Competition — teams still wanted
We’re still on the hunt for more women’s teams to help grow the competition.

And now, after a lot of interest, we’re looking at opening up:

🔥 Tuesday Night Men’s Basketball

This is likely aimed at Division 2 and Division 3 level teams, but if enough Division 1 teams are keen, we’ll absolutely look at building a strong top division as well or splitting the finals.

So if your team has been asking for another night to play — this is it.

Vale Alex Bacic.

Our condolences to the Bacic family and the Bankstown Bruins community. Alex and the PVRSC worked very closely for a long period of time working on finding suitable floor products and sharing ideas on a range of equipment and solutions. He became a great friend of the PVRSC. We are sad to hear of this news. He was a true gentleman.

🐻𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗖🐻
It is with great sadness that the Association announces the passing of Alex Bacic.

Alex was instrumental in the early progression of the Association, starting as Treasurer in 1980, which was a position he held for a decade. He was also on the Board of Directors, before taking over the General Manager role, from 1994 until his retirement in 2018. He was a Life Member of both Bankstown and BNSW and was awarded the NK Wran Award in 1981 and the Bob Elphinston Award three times for excellence at Bankstown.

Alex oversaw the 2009 World Masters Championships at the stadium, as well as assisting SOCOG (Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympics) with transforming Bankstown Stadium into an official training venue, for competing basketball teams for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

He was always very passionate about the stadium and the overall care and presentation of the playing floors, Bruins Lair and surrounding grandstands and built relationships with local, state and federal politicians along the way.

The Association passes their condolences to Norma, Cameron, Craig. Melissa and extended family.

🏀 Winter Basketball starts tonight at PVRSC — and our competition is growing.

We still have a few team spots available for the current season, with 18 weeks of competition ahead.

Current availability:

Men’s Division 1 — teams wanted
We’re especially keen to hear from strong Div 1 players and teams ready for competitive basketball to join a pretty strong group of teams!

Men’s Division 2 — 1 spot left
Women’s Competition — 3–4 teams wanted
