🎇 NYE Fireworks + Pets = A Scary Mix
As much as we love seeing your four-legged friends, please leave pets at home this New Year’s Eve.
Loud fireworks, flashing lights, and large crowds can be incredibly distressing for animals — even the bravest barkers. If you live nearby, here are some easy tips to help your pets stay safe and calm:
🐶 Keep pets indoors — Fireworks can turn even the calmest dog into an escape artist. A backyard fence won’t stop a panicked pooch.
📺 Add background noise — Switch on the radio, TV, or a playlist. Familiar sounds help drown out the bangs and booms.
🧸 Use treats and toys for distraction — Keep their minds off the noise with a chew toy or puzzle treat.
Food > fireworks.
🚪 Be careful when opening doors — Startling noises might cause pets to bolt.
