Spotify doesn’t know your groom secretly wants Fred again mid-reception.

It just plays the next song on the list,it doesn’t feel the room.

This is why I mix live: Queen’s “We Will Rock You” had the whole floor stomping, and instead of letting it die into whatever’s next on a playlist, I dropped straight into Fred again because I knew exactly who was on that dance floor.

That’s the difference between a DJ and a shuffle button one plays music, the other reads a room and reacts to it in real time.
