One of my favourite shrimp I keep even though it's potentially biased as I've bred them for so many years now to get to this point.

Left side pic - base tone - mostly present when on the floor of the tank or on plants though they sometimes still shine on the plants

Right side pic - same shrimp mostly on the walls when the light can hit them the right angle

These are my "Highest" grade/most selective bred from my midnight blue diamond lineage - the bloodline I've worked on for around 6 years without any outside blood introduced.

Bloodline started with just 10 shrimp - Average blue diamonds that I then selected heavy for dark navy blue keeping very low numbers per breed of only the best
Aiming for Midnight Blue Diamond - in 2023 one breed had around 8 that showed rusty genetics

Those got separated and selective bred on their own becoming a separate but related line.

Early 2025 I noticed a few rusty blue diamond with a bronze gold reflection on their cheek and back ridge where the rusty colouration was present.

Some selection/traits/decisions I'll still keep to myself for now but I basically had a thought same bloodline, what could happen if I try to recombine aiming to get some sheen while aiming the body darker and darker

It's not been an easy project at all - lots of stuffing around - the sheens themselves are so hard to select looking different all the time and changing as the shrimp move but we keep pushing for progress.

Only a few days ago I was watching rather young group of 30+ juvies on the wall with many shining as they moved. Next selection should be very promising ๐Ÿ˜Š

Currently NFS - I sell others types from the bloodline that are related such as midnight blue diamond.

A closer look at the white eyes ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿค๐Ÿฆ

These macro shots highlight one of my favourite details, the distinct white centre sitting inside a clear, glass-like outer layer with no visible pupil. Up close, you can really appreciate the depth and layered appearance of the eyes.

Under the tank lights, that white centre stands out beautifully. In person they can look like tiny glowing pearls, catching your attention even without the macro lens!

Whatโ€™s especially exciting is seeing that same distinctive eye appearance hold across multiple colour lines as I continue developing them. Different body colours give each line its own look, while those bright white eyes remain the feature tying them together.

Plenty of patient breeding and selection still happening behind the scenes here at SuncoastShrimp, but sometimes itโ€™s nice to stop and appreciate the tiny details ๐Ÿค

(NFS as I continue to develop them)

White Eye Neocaridina Removals + Wilds 300L tank sharing it with about 14 pygmy corydora ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŸ shrimp and Cory's both breeding within the tank, saw a baby Cory the other day and if you look closely at the floor of the tank and on the wall at one point you can see baby white eye neocaridina ๐Ÿฆ

Pretty much any that don't meet tanks for their type from selective breeding go into here, adding the white eye red removals from early there is at least 120+ white eyes plus whatever has bred on their own ๐Ÿฆ

Enjoyment display tank in my shrimp room (NFS)

My website will be launching in the next couple of weeks, while white eye neocaridina lines won't be available yet I will have a blog posted about them with some more info about the different lines I'm working with and what makes the eye so different ๐Ÿ‘€
