With no membership fees, and plenty of opportunities to socialise & perform, we rehearse Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm at WRSS School Hall, so get in touch! 🎶

🚨🎶Performance Alert🎶🚨

As proud Cairns Southsiders, we are thrilled to once again return to the Cairns Southside Celebration with an amazing setlist of the charts we’ve been working on all term!

When: Friday 4th Sep, 3:30/3:45pm member arrival at Uniting Church Edmonton for setup/tuning.
Performance: onstage 4:30pm, community stage at Ravizza Park, Edmonton
What to wear/bring: Concert black shoes, socks, pants and CSYCB Shirt, music folder with music in order (please see us this Wednesday during rehearsal if you need something printed!)

Looking forward to a lovely community performance and showing our families and friends what an amazing year of growth we’ve already had so far in 2026! 🎶

And we’re on for our CSYCB Excursion to the QSO Symphony Under the Stars!

Miss Trotter & Miss Mira will be at the main entrance of Munro Martin Parklands from 5:50pm, Friday 28th Aug, with the purchased tickets ready to admit you upon arrival; gates open at 6pm with the food trucks/meal options available from then.

Please bring a picnic blanket or camp chair, water bottle, something warm (e.g. CSYCB Hoodie) and dinner money for the food vans!

The performance will begin at 7:30pm and conclude 10:00pm; so please organise transport home for this time.

Yes, yes, WRSS Parent-Teacher Interviews are on, but why not still squeeze in a CSYCB rehearsal?! 😉

PTIs are kindly wrapping up at 5:45pm, so although CSYCB may start a little later than usual, rehearsal is still on tonight!

See you all there - remember to bring $20 cash or card payment for the QSO Excursion if you’re in Yrs 7 and above*, and are joining us!

(*Reminder: primary school members most welcome to also attend the excursion but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, please see Miss Trotter or myself if you have any questions)

🎶 CSYCB Social Excursion! 🎶

We have a lovely opportunity for CSYCB Members in Year 7 and up* (high schoolers and youth members) to join Miss Trotter and Miss Mira with a picnic blanket and an open-mind for an evening of classical music under the stars!

When: Friday, 28th August, 6:00pm, show begins at 7:30pm - 10:00pm. There are food vans available as well as an intermission.

Where: Munro Martin Parklands - limited carpooling available, please get in touch with us (0437 823 640) if you would like to organise this.

Cost: Tickets have been kindly set at $20 for CSYCB students under our supervision, to be paid by either cash or Square card payment this Wednesday 19th August during rehearsal break.

*Our age limitation is due to supervision ratio restraints, being an open space, and an evening event, however families with younger children are most welcome to buy tickets join us - junior CSYCB members will also be able to come under the special price($20) organised by Ticketlink for our group, although accompanying adults will need to support the arts with the full ticket price ($59) please!

🚨Cairns Show CSYCB Performance🚨

Three’s a charm - so get on board for our third performance in as many weeks!

Details: Wednesday 15th July 2026, 4:45pm; please meet us for entry at the Severin St Gate (please call 0437 823 640 or 0438 708 117 if you miss the group entry, we’ll come get you with the tickets!)
Performance: Community Stage, 5:30pm on stage and playing (hence why we’d like members to arrive between 4:30/4:45pm to assist with set up & tuning)
Outfit: Concert Black Pants & Black Shoes/Socks, and CSYCB Shirt

Limited carpooling is available, but please get organised quick so I can figure out the logistics! 🚗

Entry to perform also allows our members entry to the Cairns Show for the evening 🎢

Safe to say we’ve been absolutely dazzled (and I think we did a little dazzling of our own!) 🤩💃🕺 what an incredible evening this was - a privilege to perform for the NQ Dancesport Championships.

Gracious hosts, incredible venues, gorgeous dancing; CSYCB is a little starstruck - and very, very grateful for the generous raffle proceeds!

Thank you for having us, and thank you CSYCB members for bringing your best this evening! 🎶

🚨🎶PERFORMANCE REMINDER🎶🚨

The Black Tie Ball for the NQ Dancesports Championships await us tomorrow night, Saturday July 11th, at the Pullman Hotel in town.

As this is a performance for the CSYCB to play at for the ticketed attendees of the ball, please drop your player off at 6pm for tuning in their concert blacks and CSYCB shirt (bring hoodies for aircon if you’d like), with their instruments and music folders.

We will then be onstage for our performance at 7pm, and play two halves of a set. We anticipate families can begin picking up players from 8pm onwards. Carpooling may be an option - please message me on here or on 0437 823 640 to arrange.

The setlist will be the same as Wednesday’s concert.

I believe some limited tickets to the ball are still available and with the CSYCB discount, so please get in on this to support if you are able and interested in doing so!

*EDIT!! Please remember to tell anyone in your community that you have invited to tomorrow night’s concert about the venue change as well!*

The weather has put a chip in our reeds so we are making a last minute change to our concert venue and timing!

Doors open at White Rock State School Hall (our usual rehearsal location) at 6:30pm for food van service, sweet stall and amazing raffle ticket sales.

The concert setlist will begin at 7:00pm and run until 8:30/9pm.

CSYCB student members will be delivered to the school hall in the afternoon with their camp gears and instruments via the AFLCYGH buses (President Paul is a licensed driver) but please get in touch to give permission for this transport either via your child or 0437 823 640 (a text message with your child’s name and a yes to the bus).

PLEASE STILL BYO SEATING/PICNIC BLANKETS ETC 🪑🤩
