VALE TIM CURRY | 1946–2026 🖤

It feels like we've had to say goodbye to far too many legends lately, and today, another has left us.

The incomparable Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80. His manager confirmed that he died peacefully at his home in Los Angeles.

For generations of us, Tim Curry was one of those performers you simply never forgot.

Whether you knew him as the unforgettable Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the terrifying Pennywise in IT, Wadsworth in Clue, or from Home Alone 2, Annie, Muppet Treasure Island and his countless stage and voice performances – he had an extraordinary ability to completely own every role he stepped into.

He was theatrical. He was funny. He was wonderfully eccentric. And there truly wasn't anyone else quite like him.

For all of us who grew up watching his films, singing along to Rocky Horror, or perhaps being absolutely terrified of clowns because of him... 😂🎈

Thank you for the memories, Tim.

Another true entertainment legend gone, but certainly never forgotten. ❤️

Rest in peace, Tim Curry.

Did you know that when you come through the gates of the Cairns Show, many of the friendly faces greeting you and helping with ticketing are volunteers? 🎟️🎡

But their contribution goes even further than that.

Our ticketing volunteers give their time to help make the Show happen, and in return, their volunteer hours generate a donation to a not-for-profit organisation of their choice.

And this year, those hours added up to something pretty incredible…
