Djembe drumming this Saturday June 20 at Centenary Lakes Chinese Friendship Gardens from 9-10:30am, $20 and Sunday June 21 at Koah Hall from 10-11:30am, $25.

It's with great disappointment that I must announce that this will be the last session at Centenary Lakes Chinese Friendship Gardens. 😕 I have been notified from Cairns Council that under no circumstances can I be granted a permit to offer community djembe classes in this space and must find an alternative venue. So this Saturday we will close the space that we've cherished for 8 years.

An exciting weekend ahead! Saturday morning May 30, we will have our final lesson/rehearsal at Centenary Lakes Chinese Friendship gardens from 9-10:30am, $20.
We will be preparing for our community performance from 12-12:30pm at Fogarty Park to open the Cairns African Festival. 😁🙌

A busy weekend of Djembe drumming ahead! Saturday morning May 23 from 9-10:30am, $20 at Centenary Lakes Chinese Friendship gardens. It's then a quick drive up to Port Douglas for a free drum circle from 1-2:30pm at the Family Beach Day at 4 mile beach.
Sunday May 24 at Koah Hall from 10:15-11:45am, $25. At Koah, we'll review our set list for next weekend's Africa Festival. 😁🙌
