Stocktake count update: send lollies or chocolate 🤣! No, it’s almost done! The counting part anyway, then it’s reconcile mode. Just need to finish one more shelf of all the seasonal bits and bobs out in the storeroom. Just taking a short break laying on our gorgeous shop floor, then back to it on the home stretch.

Happy Birthday Mr Whoopee (aka Geoff)! 🥳 🎂🎈

You won’t see him on the shop floor very often (unless I’ve bugged him enough), but he’s always there behind the scenes. He even gave up his RDO this month to come and help with stocktake. He’s my greatest supporter of my crazy ideas, the voice of reason when needed (and occasionally ignored 😉) and the person who backed me 1000% in taking over ownership of the most gorgeous little gift shop.

Thank you for always believing in me, cheering me on, helping behind the scenes, coming when I call to get urgent parcels sent in the mail, being there through the highs and the lows and everything in between.

I popped down to the Esplanade today and it’s officially looking very IRONMAN-ready for Sunday! 🏊🚴🏃

Every year I go down to cheer on the incredible athletes and, without fail, I get that little burst of inspiration and think, “Maybe I could do that one day...”

Then I remember I’m not exactly built for swimming 3.8km, cycling 180km and running a marathon. 😂

I’m more of a Fabric Ironman competitor:

Now THAT’S an endurance event I could get behind!
