Our next May artist needs no introduction, our Artist@Work gallery’s coordinator and esteemed, award winning artist
Libby Hunter
Libbys passion for art history and colour has been life long, but her art practise began 8 years ago. Since, Libby has trained with Marco Corsini, at the Melbourne Art School, continued on at the Victorian Artists Society to study portraiture and oils, then went on to complete a Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT.
Libby works with a range of mediums, including oil and acrylic painting, concrete and metal sculpture and printmaking including lino cuts and monotype printing and continues to explore and expand her repertoire. Libby won the CAS Annuals Award for Acrylic painting in 2025 and the CAS Annuals Award for Sculpture in 2026.
Libby captures the colour, light and shades of the tropics in her current work, visually encapsulating the heat and vibrant life of both Bali and Cairns.
If you would like to visit and view Libby’s exceptional collection, Artists@Work is open 10am - 4pm every day
