Hello beautiful friends of The Golden Orb. It's been a while... much has been happening in our world.

The shop is currently transitioning into a new retail and creative space run by Golden Orb collaborator and artist Celina Burnett.

Celina is passionate about art and intends to keep the space stocked full of local artist goods. Many of the existing artists that were at the Golden Orb will still be supported in the space. Celina has been transforming the retail space and she is in the process of making it her own, she will transition to her own branding from next month.

The Current Open hours are Tuesday - Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday - 10am - 2pm

Golden Orb email remains active and we will continue to share ours and Celinas events and projects here.

As for The Golden Orb, it was such a wonderful experience to support the amazing and vast array of talented local artists in the region. There were so many beautiful and aligned connections made during this time. Forever grateful to the property Owner, Phil, the Renew Australia team and the Cairns Council. Celina and the space are still part of the Renew Cairns Family and we will continue to be involved and connected.

The space is still full of wonderful small scale local and handmade artist goods, so please go in and support our local creatives. Times are tough especially for small businesses in the CBD, skip the shopping centre and shop local, it really means so much.

As for myself (Josie) I am currently taking a break to rejuvenate after a busy year running the space. I have plans to keep The Golden Orb alive, with possibilities of moving to an online space as well as markets, festivals, gatherings and events.. so watch this space.

Hi friends, we at the Golden Orb are taking a break over easter and will be closed from Friday April 7 - Sunday the 10th 🌼
We also have some updated operating hours coming back.

is holding Pet Portrait classes on Sundays at the Golden Orb! Learn to paint and immortalise your favourite furry friend in a piece of art. 🧡
