Meet another one of our artists - Sammy J Vince. One of our most dynamic artists at The Gifting Gnome, Sam is originally from Perth but
now calls Cairns home.

She is a painter primarily and then does decoupage on seashell trinket dishes and square coasters and her work is mainly Sea themes and botanical / wildlife themed

Sam is inspired by the ocean, the water and the rainforest and has always felt a connection to nature. Sam’s artwork and the colours she uses show her love for the sea and her tropical home.

Sam has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for 16 years. Much of her work is abstract due to difficulties with fine motor skills and other symptoms.

Art is Sam’s therapy and helps her to get through those harder days. Her wish is to create artwork that is calming and evokes feelings of peace and
tranquillity.

I’m Samantha, the face behind Sammy J Vince Art. Thought I’d pop on and introduce myself!⁣

I’m originally from Perth, now calling Cairns home. I’ve been here for 4 years. I’m inspired by the ocean, the water and the rainforest. I’ve always felt a connection to nature. My artwork and the colours I use show my love for the sea and our tropical home. My wish is to create artwork that is calming and evokes feelings of peace and tranquillity. ⁣

When looking at my artwork, I invite you to look further than green and blue but to find all the hues in between. ⁣
⁣
Not just a painter, I’m also a creator of seashell trinket dishes, shell mobiles, coasters and various other art and craft.⁣
⁣
Something you may not know about me is that I have been living with multiple sclerosis for 16 years. A lot of my work is abstract due to difficulties with fine motor skills and other symptoms. ⁣

My art is my therapy and helps me to get through those harder days. ⁣
⁣
