This year we are delighted to welcome Apollo Patios Brisbane Sunshine Coast as Kings Council Sponsors.

For more than 30 years, Apollo Patios has helped Queensland families create outdoor spaces made for gathering.

As proud sponsors of the Abbey Medieval Festival 2026, they are celebrating the same spirit of community. Bringing people together and creating spaces where memories are made.

Just as Festival visitors gather for entertainment and connection, your outdoor area should be a place for community, food, conversation and comfort. Create a stunning, higher, lighter and brighter outdoor area with an architecturally inspired outdoor home addition.

We are grateful to Apollo Patios for their support of the Abbey Medieval Festival and Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology

Attention Citizens of Abbeystowe 📯

Hear ye, hear ye! The Sheriff commands that all weaponry accessories intended for entry into Abbeystowe this July be registered without delay.

To safeguard the lands and all who travel within it, costumed weapons must be declared under oath of honesty and integrity. By submitting your declaration and securing your weapons pass, you pledge that your items comply with the laws of the village and that you shall carry them responsibly under the watchful eye of the Sheriff.

>Submit your weapons pass applications ASAP!<
Closes 5pm, 30 June.
$6.05 processing fee.
One application covers up to 3 weapons - perfect if you have a different costume each day.

Got questions- see the website for FAQs or to apply!
https://www.abbeymedievalfestival.com/costuming-and-weapons/

Why am I paying?
Rather than a blanket ban on accessories, we work closely with QPS to manage risk and safety. To continue to deliver the experience you love at the Festival, we are still permitted to allow costume weapons with careful safety measures. This fee covers administration costs and a portion goes towards the Abbey Museum's fundraising purposes. If you don't want to pay - that's fine, just leave your accessories at home.

We are excited to welcome a renowned international competitor to the 2026 City of Moreton Bay Joust Championship.

This has led him to ride with the Queen’s Royal Lancers Display Team at such events as Royal Military Tournament, in presence of HM the Queen. Stacy is also a member of the illustrious Destrier, a 15th century cavalry reenactment group in the UK.

His most recent achievement was captaining the English team to victory at the 2026 Leeds Castle Tri-Nation Tournament!
