Michael Stiegler's small spaces exhibition at Side Gallery showcases a confluence of his distinctive illustrations, paintings, and collages. Inspired by many sources, including his former New York apartment, hotel notepads, and renowned art institutions, including The Met and Gagosian, Michael eloquently reimagines the inspiration for his figurative characters and illustrations. These sources first captivated him while living and working in the Lower East Side of NYC.

Visit PIERMARQ* at booth H05 to see works on paper by American artist Ben Crase at Sydney Contemporary from 7-10 September.

Crase’s quirky characters are commonly depicted as a group of comrades, fitted in signature pink hats, representing the humour and optimism of those bound by a code of hospitality, fair play, loyalty and respect.
