It’s with a heavy heart and muddy hands that we must postpone Soluna Festival.

The recent catastrophic event has shaken our region to its core. Our hearts go out to everyone affected as we pick up the pieces to rebuild our community.

The Soluna Festival site was the main evacuation point for the immediate area. Our venue has dealt with the loss of power, communication and major sewage issues. We don’t feel that it is possible or sustainable to go ahead with the event in March.

The support from our broader community is needed to rebuild homes, infrastructure and help find safe housing for the people that have just lost everything. If you would like to donate to help those in need please reach out via email [email protected] or keep an eye our social feeds to be pointed in the direction of flood relief, outreach initiatives and fundraisers in the immediate future.

All tickets and bookings will be automatically transferred to our new dates October, 21st to 24th, 2022. If you are unable to attend these new dates, please send us a message via humanitix.

With love from the Soluna Crew

April Kerry is one of Byron Bay’s finest selectors and emerging producers has taken her devilish grasp upon the Australian music scene and is creating big waves in deepest darkest corners of the underground...

A mind for dark & stormy sounds, armed with the full spectrum of colourful and adventurous techno, April consistently lights fires under packed dance floors. Utilising her extraordinary range, taste and skills, she escorts the listener on a journey through the vast textures of techno.

April’s energy, drive and dedication to her craft has seen her rapidly establish herself in the industry; with major festival bookings including Splendour In The Grass, Falls Music and Arts, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Mushroom Valley, Elements, Earth Frequency and Happy Dazes.
April has also had the privilege to perform at institutions and events such as Revolver Upstairs, Elsewhere, Locura, Church of Techno and Subsonic Festival Launch, while supporting the likes of Maksim Dark, Township Rebellion, Alex Stein, Made in Paris, Human Movement, Mha Iri, Laura King and Gabriel Moraes.

In late 2020, April opened an exciting new chapter in her remarkable career, releasing her debut track “Scorpion” on the world renowned record label Recovery Collective’s “Alliance VA”. The “Alliance VA” reached No.1 in Beatport’s Release Charts. Following the success of her debut release, April backed it up with the belter “Serpent” on Recovery Collectives “Elegance VA”. “Serpent” was widely supported, individually charting in Beatport’s Techno (Peak Time/ Driving) Hype charts reaching No.90 in the world - and with more original’s poised for release, April is weaponising her creations to shape her performances into an experience that is uniquely hers.

Since dominating her local scene, now with her releases as ammunition, April has firmly set her sights on the rest of the world. She works in the studio as much as in the booth, forging her worlds together to create a musical language that is all her own. Seamlessly shifting gears between each space, blurring the dichotomy between club and open air, she has firmly cemented her position as one of the driving forces in the Australian music scene.

Full time Dj, Producer & Artist, Butterz has been making unsuspecting clubbers and party goers loose their minds on the dancefloor for over 20 years.

A leading name in the South East Queensland Dance music scene & no stranger to a bit of a party there’s a high possibility you’ve caught him playing delicious progressive and tech at his own long serving Sunday night Residency @ Brisbane’s Laruche, playing Lowdown Instrumental Hip-hop and beats at his 13 year Residency at Rumpus Room in West End or on stages at the great south east’s leading festivals including Earth Frequency, Elements, Mushroom Valley, Interstellar Groove & Rabbits Eat Lettuce.

He started an event imprint called “Melt” alongside Open Records’ Jesse Kuch, Aprø & Christian Kerr which has been causing some serious waves, known for extreme decor setups & hosting the likes of Tim Engelhardt, Atish, Bog, Dousk and Australia's golden children Doppel & Somersault as well as helping curate Open Records parties and countless festival pre parties. The John Baptiste sound takes form as cavernous depths, warmed with bold bass, afloat with playful buoyancy. Darkened techno is shrouded by cheekiness configured of clear-cut percussion, sliced with psychedelia and strong progressive expansions.

John Baptiste transfused success into the turn of the decade. Not only did the notorious time see the release of his full length album ‘Invader’ with Samwise on Stone Seed (formerly Bassic Records) smash seven Top 10 charts including three #1 positions, but also his single ‘Time Machine’ on Open Records reach #1 in its genre’s Beatport chart and #3 in the Overall charts. It’s no surprise his creativity and skill in the studio has seen him pair with K.A.L.I.L, Luis M, Meat Katie, Breger, Jamie Stevens, Ben Coda and Steve Ward in the remix department.

A proven fixture in the Australian scene over the past decade, John Baptiste has evolved with the local and international cultures, influencing his direction as equally as his own self exploration. Emerging as a sought after and respected producer, his original and remix projects have found homes with Stone Seed, Open, Recovery Collective, Digital Structures and onedotsixtwo amongst many other respected platforms.

Voyaging throughout the many nationwide gatherings, John Baptiste has taken his lively diverse performances to Subsonic Music Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Elements, Chi Wow Wah Town, Esoteric, Babylon, Mushroom Valley and beyond.

Passion and devotion to music drives the John Baptiste journey, with a constant burn to grow and thrive.

Lunar Disco has been gently percolating on the stove for quite some time. According to the duo behind the moniker– and that’s husband and wife Australian singer/songwriter Kate Elsworth and French DJ/producer Nicolas Blistène – This exciting new disco proposition is “a cool new version of synth wave.” And in fact, that’s a pretty apt description of an electronic act who have not only plenty of new music but also equal amounts of musical ambition. Having seen other live acts take their wares to town, Lunar Disco has decided that they would prefer to skip town and go global instead: and with a look and a sound that’s guaranteed to captivate audiences in captivity or finally free of lockdown woes, it’s clearly time for this Disco to get underway.

But let’s start at the beginning, which is how these two lovebirds came together. “We met in Ibiza and quickly became partners in sound, life and crime!…”
This gorgeous franco-australian couple lives a dream life between Byron Bay (Aus) and Europe, performing in the best festivals around the globe (Caprices, Tulum, Moga, Sonar Off, Fashion Week, Plages électroniques, etc..) to playing at Guy Laliberté’s private villa gatherings and other exclusive VIP events like the famous AUM parties in Paris as their resident DJs, as well as releasing some successful tracks on major labels such as Abracadabra, Rumors, Pipe and Pochet, etc., all supported by some of the main artists in the industry such as Luciano, Pete Tong, Dubfire, Carl Craig, Guy Ge**er, Blond:ish, Audiofly, etc., while they find the time for surfing, writing songs and raising their 2 years old daughter Lily-Rose.

After this long lockdown, LUNAR DISCO hot duo come back with a refreshed version of both their musical and stage performances, presenting their first HYBRID LIVE SHOW (vocal) through which they will explore a deep and cosmic sound brushed with some pop & disco flavour mixing their own tracks with some of their moment favourites.

There will also be a video clip soon. The story is that girl who looks like she should be living in the 80s but they meet in the present day. The guy is a time traveller, and he takes them both back to the 80s to a club for a date back in the days. And this is how we meet!” And there you have it: the hot pink-hued Lunar Disco have now entered the building…”
