After 13 years we’ve closed up shop & will no longer be teaching music lessons at 2C/9 Burwood Road. I’ve been teaching since 2000 (with a couple years break in the middle ) & I will continue teaching online but it’s time the current iteration of the music school move on. Here are some stats & facts from over the years & some thank yous at the end:
We’ve taught over 240 students from Burwood & surrounding areas but also attracting students from as far north as Hervey Bay, as far east as Ashfield, as far west as Tamworth, as far south as Sutherland & everywhere in between either coming in person to our studios or online.
Several students took lessons in multiple instruments & many have stayed with us for up to 10 years. We prepared them for AMEB exams, performances at school/church/music venues, HSC & auditions. We’ve taught students from as young as 4 through to 70 years old; guiding them through their chosen goals instilling the skills of dedication, discipline, resilience, expression & creativity all through the joy of music.
Across the years, 9 teachers taught 1000’s of lessons in Classical Guitar, Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums , Piano, Singing, Clarinet, Ukulele, Music Theory/Musicianship, Trumpet & French Horn.
We hosted 12 Student Concerts at local venues showcasing the developing talent & providing performance opportunities for our students.
We also ran Rock Band programmes, Holiday Workshops & ’SPEC’ Early Childhood Musical Education Sessions & completed many Recordings, Videos, Podcasts & Guitar Repairs on premises.

Thanks to our teachers: Alison, Bronte, Toby, Sammi, Sarah, Josephine, Chris and Marko for instructing & inspiring our students with passion & professionalism.
Thanks to Mum and Dad for the support and especially the help at the student concerts, encouraging all the performers just as you did for me.
Special thanks to Leanne for all the love and support, tireless hard work behind the scenes. I couldn’t have done it without you. We can finally eat together on weeknights now :)
