Danielle's Studio of Dance Our primary focus is classical ballet.

Providing students with a strong secure classical technique is the basis, foundation and requirement for all forms of dance. Our studio’s excellent RAD exam results and successful placement of many of our graduates in Internationally renowned schools and companies both here and overseas is a reflection of the high standard the studio continually achieves. Our faculty is an inspiring team of forme

r professional dancers who are dedicated to providing our students with the highest calibre of technical and artistic training. Our mission is to be a centre of dance excellence and encourage our students to be the very best they can be within a nurturing and dedicated environment. Whether your child dances for fun and fitness or wishes to pursue a professional dance career, we proudly believe that every child deserves to be taught properly.

🩰✨ A very special farewell to our Lani ✨🩰

Our farewell concert for our gorgeous Lani, who heads off to the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco next week, was such a beautiful and heartfelt celebration of our girl. 💕🇲🇨

A huge thank you to our wonderful DSD students who choreographed and performed for Lani, and to all the families who came along to share this special afternoon with us.

The creativity, thoughtfulness and kindness shown to Lani was truly appreciated by both Lani and her family. It made me enormously proud to see the beautiful friendships, support and sense of community that exists within our studio. 🩷

And then… the celebrations continued with a studio sleepover with her class friends! 🥳🛏️💗 Lots of laughter, lots of fun and, no doubt, a few more very special memories made together.

Miss Dani is feeling a tad tired today 😂😅 but most importantly, Lani has had the send-off she wanted, surrounded by the dance friends she has grown up with and the studio she has called home for so many years. 🩰❤️

When the standard matters 🤍

Today was a reminder that results aren’t always about what is technically, artistically or age-appropriately appropriate.

We witnessed choreography, music and costuming today that left us genuinely questioning where the line has gone when it comes to presenting young dancers.

We will always stand firmly behind quality training, artistry, musicality, appropriate presentation and choreography that respects the age of the dancer.

Our dancers work incredibly hard. They are taught to dance with integrity, musicality, discipline and respect for the art form , and we will continue to uphold those standards regardless of results.

Sometimes you don’t receive the recognition you deserve.
But that never diminishes the quality of the work.

We know what we saw. We know what we teach. And we know the standard we hold ourselves to. 🤍🩰

Thank you to our beautiful parents for their endless support and belief in the dance education we provide 💐

It’s such a special milestone in a dancer’s training when you achieve your first pair of pointe shoes 🩰
Pointe work is not something a dancer simply “starts” , it is something the body must be carefully prepared for. Strong pointe technique begins with a solid foundation of ballet technique, strength, alignment, balance and body awareness.

A very special thank you to Bloch for the wonderful opportunity for our Lani Gehling to take class with two of Bloch’s Queensland Ballet Ambassadors, Libby Rose Niederer and Ivan Surodeev. 🩰✨

It was particularly special for me to see Lani pictured here with our DSD alumni, Ava Wright, who now works with Bloch. Watching our dancers grow, pursue their dreams and find their place within the dance world is one of the greatest joys of teaching. ❤️

We only have three weeks left with our beautiful Lani before she heads off to the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco to continue her training. 🇲🇨✨
