A little full-circle moment. 💫

A throwback to 2023, when I created this commission for a beautiful bayside home through Briana || Design Leopard Interiors.

Three years later, the home has new owners… and rather wonderfully, they love my art too. I’m now about to create a completely new commission for them, which will hang in exactly the same spot.

I just love that. Same home, new owners, new artwork.

Swipe across for a closer look at the original piece and all that lovely texture.

FOUND 5

This artwork was inspired by a small rock found along the Gold Coast, with beautiful layers of dusty pink, terracotta, tan and beige running through it.

Formed over time, layer upon layer, I loved the idea of taking those tiny sedimentary markings and reimagining them on a much larger scale.

An abstract interpretation of something small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

The original rock is framed in oak and comes with the artwork as part of its story.

Found 5 can be hung horizontally or vertically.

FOUND 1 — SOLD

There’s something really special about seeing one of my artworks settled into its beautiful new home — and I love seeing Found 1 there now.

This was the very first work from my Found Series to sell, just minutes after the Affordable Art Fair opened in May.

It was one of those pieces people kept coming back to, and I had so many enquiries about it afterwards. There was something about this colour combination of deep reds, soft greys and blue tones that people were really drawn to.

Even more special, it was bought by a group of friends as a 50th birthday gift.

And, as with every work in the Found Series, the original shell that inspired the painting comes with it, framed as part of the story.

Five paintings. Five found objects. Each inspired by something discovered in nature — with the original inspiration framed and included as a gift with the artwork.

All together in the studio 🤍

FOUND 2

Part of my Found Series — taking an object found in nature and reimagining its colours, markings and form as an abstract painting.

I was drawn to the beautiful gradation within this shell — soft purples moving through coral, cream, beige and warm honey tones.

I also love thinking about the life a shell has already had before it’s found — where it’s travelled, what it’s weathered, and the story held within it. Now those colours and markings take on another life in paint.

And with each Found artwork, the original inspiration comes with it. The framed shell is included with the artwork as a gift.

FOUND 4

Part of my Found Series — taking a found object and reimagining its colours, markings and form as an abstract painting.

This strawberry cockle shell was found while walking along The Spit here on the Gold Coast. I loved its soft creamy tones, but especially the warm stripe running through it — so I exaggerated that detail in the painting and made it a feature of the work.

I love that something found can hold a memory of a particular place or moment. That’s really what this series is about — giving something found a completely new scale and life.

And with each Found artwork, the original inspiration comes with it. For Found 4, the strawberry cockle shell is framed in oak and comes with the artwork as a gift.

Vanilla Garden… now on a yoga mat. 🧘‍♀️

I’m really happy to be supporting Heal.ed Tribe and the incredible work they do for young girls and their mental health and wellbeing.

I’ve donated my artwork Vanilla Garden to be printed onto a yoga mat as part of their silent auction. It’s one of my softer, more feminine works — creams, blush, buttery tones and touches of apricot — and I love seeing it take on a completely different life like this.

The mat is available to bid on now, with 100% of the proceeds going towards supporting the work of Heal.ed Tribe.

If you’re on the Gold Coast, Celebrating YOUth Through Art is on this Thursday, 13 August at Dust Temple, Currumbin, from 5–8pm, with artwork, live music, creative experiences and the silent auction.

Such a worthy cause and one I’m very happy to support.

Have you got a special found object you’d like me to turn into an artwork?

I have limited commission spots available for late November/December, with new commissions otherwise booking into 2027.

If you have something special in mind, get in touch and we can start the conversation.

Your original artwork + the object that inspired it, framed alongside it — yours to keep. A completely unique pairing.

Gravitation Vibrant Series

I created the Gravitation Vibrant Series because I wanted to explore vibrant colour and the idea of drawing the viewer into the artwork—almost like a gravitational pull.

I loved the idea that each painting could be experienced in two different ways.

From a distance, each artwork appears as one vibrant colour, softly blending into a white centre.

Step closer, and you discover there’s so much more than you first thought. More than 50 individual colours, palette knife strokes and layers of texture reveal themselves, making the artwork feel completely different up close.

Five years on, I still love exploring new colourways in this series.

The originals have all found homes, but a small number of limited-edition prints remain.

Do you have a fave colour?
🩷💛💙🧡💚
