Not feeling 100% at the moment, so I’m taking things slowly and focusing on the small jobs that still make me happy.

Which has resulted in ... new cards!

I’ve been playing with these birds and some hand-printed paper backgrounds. They’re at the stage where I’m wondering whether they need greetings or words, or whether I should just let the images do the talking.

Some have also taken a little detour into my familiar world of dots, dashes and rocks. These marks represent history, energy and memory in my work. I’m loving the extra layers and meaning they’ve brought to these pieces.

But now I’m stuck!

Brains Trust… I hate to ask, but I need your vote! 👇

🌿 A. Add greetings
🐦 B. Add a few simple words
🎨 C. Leave them as they are
✨ D. Something else entirely — tell me what!

Vote in the comments ... I'm listening!

Today’s creative achievement was doing absolutely everything, except the thing I’m supposed to be doing.

Energy a bit low, so naturally I decided this was the PERFECT time to:

🍃 Make a new set of greeting cards
🪨 Add texture paste rocks to the first Lovers Walk canvas
✂️ Die-cut my hand-printed papers into tiny leaf embellishments
🖌️ Clean ALL the brushes
☕ Drink approximately 15 cups of tea!

Admin? What admin?!!

My brain decided that cleaning brushes, making leaves and spreading texture paste are all urgent business matters!

Procrastination or strategic avoidance?!!

Playing with leftover paint because I hate wasting it!

Printing some papers to create mixed media pieces for cards.

A crazy mess on my desk but I’m in my happy place!

LOVERS’ WALK 🌿

Photos ✔️
Under paintings on 5 canvases ✔️
Sketches in the art journal ✔️

Now the really exciting part, adding the textures and seeing the painting begin! 🎨

I’ve been soaking up the memories, energy and gorgeousness of Lovers’ Walk and letting the sketches, marks and layers evolve into something of their own.

Five canvases. One place. Come join me!

Flashback to 2023 🌿

A little trip down memory lane for some photos, and assemblages created with botanicals gathered from the gardens of friends, inspired by the beauty and textures of Morton National Park.

Nature, memory, found materials and a little bit of experimentation, all finding their way into the work.

Ever wondered how one of my paintings might look on your wall?

Here they are to scale, so you can get a better feel for how the Wishing Well collection could sit in your home or office.

These pieces are inspired by the extraordinary Wishing Well area of Morton National Park with all its geology, stillness, textures and sense of place.

My website isn’t quite ready yet, so if one of these speaks to you, send me a message. I’d love to help you bring a little piece of Wishing Well into your space.

Breathe in, Breathe out! Just a few minutes in my favourite place, after shopping in the village.
The breeze in the gum trees, frogs and a variety of birds ... Pure Morton Magic!

After working with my arty folk at Rosnel Hostel, apparently MORE ART was required! 😂

Two quick collages, a desk tidy-up and two layout sketches for my next collection… Lovers’ Walk!

I’ve had to use my photographs for now, but I’m really looking forward to soaking up the memories, history and sheer gorgeousness of this special place over the next few days.

There’s something very exciting about seeing a new collection begin to take shape… 🌿

The Wishing Well area of Morton National Park, Bundanoon, is a place of amazing geology, tranquillity and space to simply be.

It’s a place that invites you to slow down, look closely and reconnect with the landscape. Notice the rocks, textures, colours and quiet energy of the bush.

Through my Wishing Well collection, I’m bringing a little of this very special place into the home, capturing its atmosphere, textures and sense of stillness, so that a connection to Morton National Park can live with you every day.

The collection isn’t quite available for sale yet, but if you’d like to be one of the first to know when the paintings are released, send me a message and I’ll add you to the list. 🌿

A little piece of Morton, ready to come home.
