THE WOMEN OF TROY

When everything is destroyed.... what endures?

Euripides' tragedy tells a tale that is too rarely voiced - the story of the women of war. Their city has been sacked, their sons and husbands killed. And yet the women of Troy find the strength to console each other and ready themselves for their ultimate fate, to be slaves for the Greeks, ripped from their homeland and taken across the sea.

Under the direction of Anne Pensalfini, UQ Drama's production focuses on giving voice to the loss, the dignity and the strength of these archetypal women.

Opening Thursday October 26th until Saturday October 28th
