Although it sucks to be down with the sickness 😅😉. I've been able to organise some exciting things with my band Reckless Error today. Hoping I'm feeling better for Thursday and the NEXT LEVEL Music Programs Youth Jam.

Hope to see you there. If you've never been, it's an awesome way to meet like-minded kids that play music and practise your performance chops in a safe space.

What an amazing afternoon full of locals supporting live music and joining together to make some music. So great to see our local gigging musicians helping out the up and coming youth.

Massive shout out to the Jay and the crew behind The Bundy Jam Session and of course Ballistic Bargara for hosting all of us once again!

Keep an eye on the page for some clips from the day including a sneaky acoustic Reckless Error tune 😉

For now, here's a clip with my boy Lucas and his mate Jacob (which I quickly showed him the ropes to Tom Petty 15mins before performing).

Big props to Craig & Matt at Bundy Beatz for all the work they’ve done with Jacob.

Craig & I used to play pubs and clubs together with my first gigging band actually 🤘🏼

It’s starting to look a little spooky here at 46Seventy Music and there’s a couple new residents in the studio hanging out by the Orange Micro Terror atop the RANDALL AMPS quad box. I’ve named the pups George and John, and the skull is Paul, since Paul is _ _ _ _. I’ll have to find a Ringo.

November is here and that means it's time for Mo Rockers BIG MOVEMBER EVENT! Save A Bro, Rock A Mo!

Since 2021, each year I have offered students the opportunity to perform onstage alongside professional musicians at the Movember event I host with my bandmate Chris Castles from Reckless Error.

It's amazing to see my students experience where music can take you and the opportunities that are available to you if you work hard and hone your craft.

This year will feature first-timers:
Leah Stuart
Edie Brown
Emma Carroll
Nate Kroon

As well as returning performers:
Rory Cohen
Cadel Driver
Billy Meehan

Come on down to Lighthouse Hotel-Motel Saturday 25th November at 11:00 to show them some support. You can stick around for the rest of the day and enjoy 11 bands/duos and plenty of amazing raffle prizes to be won for our fundraising goal of $5000 for Movember Australia.

I can't believe it's already Movember again. Last year Chris Castles and I started a new event fro Bundaberg to change the face of men's health and connect our community through live music.

It was a pleasure to have Billy, Rory, and Corin perform last year as the 46Seventy Music Students. Billy couldn't wait for the opportunity to perform on stage to come around again, but unfortunately can't attend this one.

This year I welcome back Corin and Rory alongside Kristoffer and Cadel (the younger Driver brother). These boys will be performing a short set as two groups and can't wait to play onstage in the Beer Garden at Lighthouse Hotel-Motel for Movember Australia with Mo Rockers for Save A Bro, Rock A Mo! Congratulations to Rory for smashing his first bass exam with Rockschool. He jumped straight into the 4th grade exam and achieved a distinction. Way to go!

Learning an instrument isn’t always about earning a certificate and the most important thing is to purely enjoy playing music. That being said, there is a great feeling that comes with overcoming the challenge of an exam and earning that certificate.

If you’re interested in working towards grades on your instrument, I’m more than happy to guide you through them.

You can find more information about Rockschool exams by following the link.

We're passionate about all the major rock instruments. Whether you're an indie guitarist, metal drummer or pop pianist we've got a grade exam that will help you become a more accomplished and well-rounded musician.

Amazing opportunity from some local lads. Spread the word to anyone you think would love to start learning guitar or would love to upgrade their instrument.

Australian dance punk band DZ Deathrays have announced a new grant designed to assist the next generation of guitarists from regional areas.
