Bethlehem live Take a step back in time to witness and walk through the marketplace of Bethlehem as it was 2,000 years ago.

This is a free family-friendly pre-Christmas event here in Bundaberg. The event will run for 4 nights 15th - 18th of December 2026 - 6pm to 9pm. The concept of Bethlehem Live is bought to you by the Combined Churches of Bundaberg in partnership with SU Australia. The concept of Bethlehem Live came from Townsville’s very successful Christmas Stable on The Strand event which has been running now for

around 20 years. The heart behind Bethlehem Live is to provide a free & inclusive Christmas event that is interactive, fun, and joyful, that not only brings the story of Christmas to life in a unique and exploratory way but also seeks to offer practical care and support to those within our community who may be doing it tough. Each day we see and work with families and individuals who are struggling with grief and loss, sickness and disease, financial issues, and relationship breakdowns, to name just a few. These types of situations are heightened at festive times. It is our hope that this festival will not only draw our community together but will also help alleviate some of these stressors by connecting those in need to the variety of care support agencies that will be on-site throughout the event. This is the 5th year that Bethlehem Live has run in Bundaberg. Our last event saw a whopping 10,000+ patrons throughout the four-night event. Please note a minor update to the program: The Main Stage music and carols will not be in action tonight. But don’t worry—all other city events will still be open, along with our incredible food venues! 🍔🍟
