Some of the sales from my recent exhibition. I just love these red dots! It gives me more money for art supplies 😂

There was another one, but I just couldn’t photograph it with the glass without getting reflections. It was a dark piece, so it was nearly impossible to see. Thank you to all of those who decided to make a purchase. You have no idea how amazing that feels.❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is another piece that I have on display currently at the Bundaberg Art Society. I really enjoyed working on her expression, there was a point where she didn’t look as conspiratorial as she does now, she was much more condescending. And that is not the expression that I wanted for her. It’s amazing though they’re just adjusting the eyes by a millimeter up or down and adding a few highlights to her cheek has really change that expression. This work is available for sale.

Showcasing some of the work exhibiting this week and next at the Bundaberg Art Society. This is a new oil painting inspired by that song, itsy bitsy, teeny we**ie, yellow polkadot bikini. I decided to leave off the polkadot though so they would be less distracting. I’ve always loved exploring bold colours and in this I wanted a summertime feeling. I really enjoyed working with cerulean blue that you can see peak out in some of the shadows. Trying to move away from a realistic image into something that that’s intensely bright. In this work, I also focused on the composition, which I’m very pleased with. the original reference photo had her in a much different position and I moved her body to suit the composition that I had in mind.

What an amazing opening night for our Kaleidoscope exhibition with these two wonderful artists, Sandy (sandyjaynetrayling) and Trudie (trudie_diserens). It was a packed room, both of people and art. We took up every available space in the room 78 artworks. Incredibly we had 18 sales on opening night. Thank you for everyone who came along!!!

For the past few years I have contributed to the which is an amazing event that raises money for people with disabilities in the arts. This is another mixed media piece that is primarily pastel, but I did use several techniques, including some crêpe paper, flowers that I made for her hair it’s got texture and dimension.

For the past few years I have contributed to the which is an amazing event that raises money for people with disabilities in the arts. This was a mixed media work. The first layer was a printed tissue paper. and then used watercolor, medium over that and painted watercolor on the paper then I added ink in addition to the watercolor. it was really fun to experiment with.

For the past few years I have contributed to the which is an amazing event that raises money for people with disabilities in the arts. An artist, when he register they sent you three A5 pieces of card. The idea is you create your work on one side, but don’t sign it. On the back you fill in your details. The art is then sold for $100 per piece. But you don’t know whose work you’re buying until you have paid. This year they had the shown in Sydney, Brisbane, and Townsville and one of my pieces was at each one and all of them sold on the day that they opened, which was pretty cool.

This work was a mixed media piece painted on a yellow piece of sheet music and then acrylic ink on top
