It was a privilege to cover the Dr Peter Ridd lecture Bundaberg on Monday, 12 August. A huge turnout for important information. Congratulation to Dr Peter Ridd for a compelling and matter-of-fact presentation.

Almost 300 people turned out in force for the inaugural presentation in Bundaberg of a Queensland speaking tour by independent scientist Dr Peter Ridd. The presentation is titled “How reliable is the science demonstrating damage to the Great Barrier Reef? The need for better quality control”. It now moves up the coast of Queensland.
Thanks to Solana Photography, Bundaberg, for these photographs taken at the presentation.

Solana Photography is proud to be the official photographer of the Adapting Renewable Energy Project Field Day on 15 May 2019. This exciting and groundbreaking project offers solutions to soaring power prices for farming and other operations using megalitres of water. Through the solar / hybrid combination this project has shown that electricity costs for irrigating farmers and other operations can be slashed by 73%, from $112 per megalitre to $23.
Bookings are through Eventbrite. Courtesy transport to the field day is from Brothers Sports Club, Bundaberg. BBQ lunch included.

An innovative hybrid solar / grid power supply project has cut electricity costs for pumping megalitres of water from $116 per ML to $23 per ML. That's a massive reduction of 73%. The project is supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).

A great team - it was a pleasure to photograph them.

Women's football adds a lot to the Bundaberg community, and IWC is pleased to be able to sponsor the Brothers Aston Villa Women’s Football Team for the coming year.

As team member Kiama Theuerkauf-Smith says: “Football in Bundaberg means love, family and making friends for lifetime. Women’s football is an important part of my life, and has been very empowering."

Kiama is a member of the Wakka Wakka tribe from the North Burnett, and was Bundaberg NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year 2018.

The team started almost half a century ago and sits within the Brothers Aston Villa Football Club. In 2017, Brothers Aston Villa Football Club became an official partner of Aston Villa Football Club in the UK.

Always a proud moment to be working with IWC, and tomorrow night I'll be capturing the magic and excitement of the 2018 Bundaberg Pageant of Lights. Check out this video of Byron Kiya Kayla Broome playing Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer on the didgeridoo. What a talent! Byron will be performing this on the IWC float at the Pageant tomorrow. Don't miss it!
