Christmas Platter Workshop with Bunbury Studio Potters

Create a unique handmade Christmas decoration just in time for the festive season. In this relaxed and creative workshop, participants will explore hand building and decorative ceramic techniques to design and craft their own Christmas inspired ornament, hanging decoration, or festive keepsake.

Whether you're creating a special handmade gift, a cherished family memento, or a unique decoration to display year after year, you'll be guided through this creative process.

Suitable for beginners and those with some clay experience, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, and make something truly special to celebrate the holiday season.

Bring with you: Clothes you don't mind getting clay on/apron, closed in shoes, and towel

Ticket Price: $120
All materials, glazing, and firing are included. Finished pieces will be available for collection once firing is complete. Stirling Street Arts Centre staff will contact participants when their work is ready for collection.

Bring your own lunch (if all-day workshop) and water or drinks. Tea and coffee making facilities will be available. A fridge and microwave are available on site for use during workshop. We are conveniently located across from Centrepoint if you need to purchase your lunch or snacks.

Introduction to the Wheel with Bunbury Studio Potters

Discover the fundamentals of wheel throwing in this hands on pottery workshop designed for beginners and those looking to build confidence on the wheel. Participants will explore clay preparation, centring, and throwing techniques while developing an understanding of the pottery process in a supportive and creative studio environment. Through guided practice, participants will build their skills and confidence while experimenting with the unique possibilities of working with clay on the wheel.

Attendance: This workshop is designed as a progressive series, with each session building on the previous one. Catch-up sessions are not available for missed sessions.

Third Session (glazing) : Sunday 22nd November 9:00am - midday

All of our exhibition pieces have now been carefully bagged and are ready for collection from Stirling Street Arts Centre. A huge thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition, showed their support, and purchased a piece. Your enthusiasm keeps our creative community thriving. If you bought a work, you’re welcome to pop in to SSAC and collect it at your convenience.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our wonderful pottery group at last night’s exhibition opening. It was such a fantastic turnout, and seeing our community come together like that means the world to us.

To all our makers who entered their work, and to every member who helped behind the scenes, your creativity, time, and teamwork are what make this group so special. The exhibition is a true reflection of our shared passion, and we couldn’t have achieved it without you.

Bunbury Studio Potters Exhibition Opening Night didn’t disappoint.
We had such a great crowd of pottery and art enthusiasts who came and enjoyed the celebration of our annual exhibition, held at the Stirling Street Art Centre, Bunbury.
With over 370 pieces on display we still have a variety of function and decorative pieces to choose from, so you certainly haven’t missed out if you didn’t make opening night. We are open until 28th August. NOT OPEN SUNDAYS.

A spectacular showcase bringing together over 300 stunning, hand-made ceramic pieces on full display in the Hallway Gallery and Studio 6 Gallery at Stirling Street Arts Centre.
