I’ve been a bit quiet with the art this year, while re-prioritising my energy to growing my beautiful girl 💕
Here is a painting that I did after completing the course. It’s titled “We hold the power”, depicting how Bub, my husband and I are the the ones that hold the power to having a positive birth experience, no matter what happens. And that is exactly how it went. ‘Penny Jennifer’ decided she couldn’t wait any longer to meet us and was born 4 weeks early! Safe to say most of my birth preferences went out the window, and it definitely wasn’t how my husband and I imagined it would go. However it was perfect given the circumstances, because we are all healthy, and Penny now has a great 21st birthday story for us to tell 🤣🥰

We are now finding our feet and getting to know each other, but I hope to be able to get back into the studio very soon! 💕👩🏻‍🎨

T A K I N G a B R E A K 🤍
It’s time for me to take a little break from commissions and focus on myself (and the little human I’m currently growing!).

I’m currently 17weeks pregnant - and it’s safe to say that the one thing that being pregnant has already taught me, is that it’s okay to SLOW DOWN 🤰🏻🙏🏼

I’ll be back in the studio soon, but for now here’s a picture of my first ever painting - the one that started it all 💫✨🌎

A YEAR IN REFLECTION ✨
I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, mainly because January has been a pretty hectic month for me - nothing I couldn’t handle though 💪🏼
It all started last January 2020 were I started 2x art commissions, changed jobs, brought a house and moved in, and was 1 month out from our wedding!! 😱 🤯 that month; 1 year ago taught me that I could do anything that I put my mind to. Over the last year I have since had consistent art commissions ➡️ I set myself the challenge to be open to trying anything, and as you can see, every single one I did was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT 🤩
I have loved the challenge of ALL of them and felt that each one has taught me something new about myself and my art skills. You don’t know what you can achieve unless you give it a go, and boy I am so glad that I did 🤍 thank you to all those who had faith in me to create something special for you over the last year! I appreciate you all! 🙏🏼
Now as I sit here, on the first weekend in over a year where I don’t have a commission on my to do list, I am able to reflect on the year I’ve had.
Im so PROUD of myself! 🙊
I am also so motivated to continue to improve with my art practice 👩🏻‍🎨
And I’m so excited to see what 2021 has to bring! ✨🤩
