I don't think anyone, other than my immediate family, understands the sheer volume of work that has gone into making this dream a reality.

I think every dream is worth the effort though, don't you?

Even though my shows are a mixture of comedy, storytelling, acting and performing original songs with my former female self, the subject matter is deep. It's historical. I relive the time when each song was written every time I edit them. Some days it's a lot.

I'll admit it. I cry. I talk to myself. I talk each step I have to take out loud.

And you know what?

I talk to a little standee that I had made.

It's a photo from my first ever professional photoshoot back home. It was 2009 and I was pregnant with my youngest. I remember squatting down on railway tracks out in the bush, with my favourite guitar, Stickers, in my arms. I had spent my entire life singing, and I had a dream of having people hear my original music. Not just the covers that I performed each month.

Life became a bit messy and interesting after that time.

I grew in ways I could never have imagined back there on those railway tracks.

Now, when I feel overwhelmed or exhausted, I pick her up and I talk to her. I tell her that I am brave and strong. That I'm working so hard to make her dream a reality.

And it is a reality now.

I kiss her little face, and it helps.

I have produced and directed many theatrical shows, but Changeling is a different sort of beast. My other shows back home took six months to produce. Changeling has taken eighteen months. The music has taken a decade.

This feels like I've been climbing a mountain for ten years.

And the summit is finally in view.

I can't wait to see the view from up there.

Absolutely fantastic news! So incredibly proud and excited to be premiering my show Changeling at this iconic spot! Watching the Naughty Noodle - FunHaus Factory grow from the ground up has been such a pleasure to see. So proud of everyone and everything that's been done to directly give back to our beautiful coast community.

Today I am spending time in meetings with PAX from HR. He is the most chaotic Manager I've ever met with the absolute worst track record 😑 He thinks KPI means 'Kleptogons Prancing Intermittently' 😏 so it's about timing with him! His months are our minutes on board so he's got to time his calls exactly.

I rely on PAX to alert me to get me changed at the start of each new Space Quadrant, if I don't change my entire appearance in time we are in danger of being high jacked by Rustmongers... Not ideal.

I'm getting closer to my ✨In Flight Audit✨ on the 27th June, and I am only hearing bad things about Thorpe. I'm hoping that my Starfleet Team rise to the occasion and let me do what I do best - telling stories and singing songs! I'm really looking forward to singing with The Before, my Celestial Twin sister. My voice from when I presented female... Singing with her across time and space is such a vibe 🎶❤️✨

I'm already stressed out a bit 😅😅

On the 27th June, I'll be Captaining an unregulated (and saucy) Star Ship from the outer Heliosheath to New World Earth - I'm going to be audited during the show for Quality Purposes... and my entire team are unconcerned with their own job-security!

I promise it will be a safe flight 😬

🛫 The flight is affordable, and I've heard that the in-flight entertainment is pretty solid. Performing original Interstellar Trans Duets with my former self, across space and time... ✨

Hey Besties, I'm starting to feel the rumble of Star Ship as he is getting ready to take-off (and pester me!) I have been hard at work getting the musical score ready for the 27th June and it is sounding so beautiful - it makes me cry! It's now time to rehearse - editing what I am going to say and practicing my interactions with my pre-recorded co-stars! Not one inch spare for error, I've got to be 100% on top of my game with Changeling.

I thought I would do a few posts over the next 3 weeks, just introducing myself a little bit. I have an auditorium to fill - and I am manifesting a crowd of people who are hungry for something exciting and new! There is no one on the planet doing what I have done. That in itself feels like a reward before I have even sung a note! To sing with my past Female presenting self - alongside a choir of my transitioning selves... it's a phenomenal experience. Singing with your own perfect reflection.

Last night I had a dream where I was lying on a bed with The Before (my past female presenting self). We were just hanging out. I remember stroking her Nordic blonde hair (Schwartzkopf L+++) and just speaking quietly with her... Like the way siblings hang out when there is nothing to do, and nowhere to go, no pressure or rush. What a blessing to be able to merge with my whole self - accepting and loving all of the iterations of me. I am a trans man, but heck I love my old self too.

Here is some of the business end of this post, I hope it explains a bit more of who I am as a person and as an artist.

I am a Central Coast NSW–based polymath creative whose work spans music, theatre, visual art, wearable art, writing, tattoo art, hypnosis, psychotherapy and community arts practice. With over forty years of performance experience, my work sits at the crossroads of storytelling, music, identity, visual design and community connection. Doesn't that sound✨fancy!✨

Originally from South Africa, I trained as a vocalist in the Bel canto tradition✨that's a fascinating story too!✨and began performing professionally at a young age. I toured nationally and internationally for over a decade with the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir as a soloist, and assistant trainee conductor (in my final year), before building a multidisciplinary creative career across both South Africa and Australia.

My music blends electronic pop rock opera, folk influences, classical voice and Afro-inspired rhythms, reflecting the many worlds and experiences that have shaped me. Alongside music, I create wearable art, write books, work as a tattoo artist, and support people through my work as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist.

My current major work,✨Changeling✨ is a theatrical concert set aboard a q***r starship, exploring identity, transformation and belonging through original music, storytelling, humour and an alternative wall-of-sound musical landscape. One of the show's unique elements is that I perform alongside recordings of my former female-presenting voice, creating duets across time and space.

As an internationally trained Bel canto vocalist with a lifelong performance career, I have trained hard to combine powerful vocals, theatrical storytelling, wearable art costuming and immersive audience experiences. Whether through music, visual art or community work, my goal is always the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, encouraged and inspired.

It's funny, I feel absolutely at home on stage in front of an audience - in the moment I don't care about self, it's all about bringing happiness to the people in front of me.

But being in front of a camera?

Nope.

It's like every negative feedback I've ever received from anyone, just sits there staring back at me 😅

For those of you who create daily, how do you overcome that camera shyness? (I think that's an accurate way of describing it) because it's something I'm struggling with, and I don't like having an area of my life where I am not in control 🥹

Good morning Besties x Friday to Sunday - I've just done a marathon music editing and mastering sesh! Each tweak brings my "wall of sound" vision closer to reality. Dealing with a choir of individual voices, plus two soloists (male and female but the same singer) is a technical challenge, but one I am definitely up for! When I'm editing my music, it's as if I am channeling energy - I become very sensitive, ultra focused and completely into an elevated zone mentally and physically. I forget to eat, I become completely immersed in the music... It's like that with all of my art forms. Today is a public holiday... And I didn't realise 😐 so I was up way too early! 😅✨ Oh well!
