This has been an incredible week. How lucky I am to be staying in the heart of Kings Cross, and performing in such an intimate and iconic theatre space!
Qtopia Substation next door to Qtopia Sydney Theatre in Darlinghurst - is a grungy, energy-filled reclaimed city space. So much history and such a VIBE.
Tonight's The Sydney Fringe version of my show Changeling, will be so special, people might not know this, but I perform new vocalisations with each show - riffing and harmonising with my former female presenting self and a choir of my transitioning selves recorded over an 11 year period.
The music is electronic pop rock opera with great rhythms and instrumentals that I layered and built up, using incredible music samples from all around the planet. (It's a planetary soundscape featuring now-transitioned voices that will never be able to produce new sound again)
The harmonics, duets, trios and chorales are the closest you will ever get to hearing a male and female trained Bel Canto singer coming together in absolute unison. Often creating a extra harmony (one that isn't being sung - but simply created because of the sound waves combining in perfect harmony!)
There are seats available over the next 3 nights for this intimate show, your sharing not only on social media but to friends who you think would resonate - helps so much - and gets me a step closer to performing at the Sydney Opera House ✨❤️
📀 The song sample is Blackened Bone on all streaming platforms. 📸 by Caelus on 🕒 TT and by myself.
