Pangaea Festival update 💚

After much reflection (and a long lead up time, apologies for that), we’ve made the tough decision not to return in summer 2025, and the future of Pangaea remains uncertain.

Born from our lifelong passion for festivals and a commitment to sustainability, Pangaea aimed to set a new benchmark in green festival practices. Despite the love, energy, and voluntary hours we poured into it, post-pandemic challenges and rising costs have made it difficult to sustain this beautiful event.

While the festival may pause, Pangaea lives on as a lifestyle and philosophy. We hope our work inspires others to embrace truly meaningful sustainable practices—because one festival alone cannot change an industry.

Thank you for your support. The journey isn’t over. 🌱

Hey Folks,

It is time to let you know that we have decided to take a break for 2024 and use the time to plan, create, build and secure funding for what will be the next edition of Pangaea.

Pangaea Festival was developed and implemented over a number of years, and with a variety of secured funding to allow us to deliver and provide our maiden adventure at the beginning of this year.

The Pangaea model cannot be rushed, and to enable us to grow and build on the quality and values from the inaugural event we have much work to do!

We look forward to returning in the summer of 2025 with another stellar Pangaea Festival.

We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.

It's actions like this that count the most towards a sustainable future for all.

Go on, make a donation now folks and be part of a solution 🌱

We are calling for your support this May, to help over 300 Landcare groups and 100 individual Landcarers restore the health of our local environments.

Midweek Memories of Pangaea Festival 2023.

The Little People of Pangaea - Living, Loving and Learning.

These captured moments warm our hearts and minds with inspiration and hope for the future of our children.

For the Little People of Pangaea we provide spaces and activities that foster a love of nature so that our young are connected and care for the natural world around them. This will help to grow healthy connected youth who are more capable of comprehending the environmental issues we/they face.

Our Little People ethos is underpinned by trailblazing environmental educator David Sobel and his study 'Beyond Ecophobia'. David is an American educator and Academic, responsible for developing the philosophy of place-based education.

"If we really want children to flourish, we need to give them time to connect with nature and love the Earth before we ask them to save it" - David Sobel.

Dear People of Pangaea,

It is with heavy hearts that we share this post from Panama Festival, and it is also with great pride that we can help to spread this truly heartfelt initiative to support Georgia and her two children in this very tragic and difficult time.

Some of the crew behind Pangaea are close friends, colleagues and crew of Panama Festival. We have had the privilege of working with the Panama community for many years, and the more recent honour of some Panama community working with us at Pangaea Festival, including Georgia and Paul.

Please read Panama festivals post below for the full story and link to the initiative page where you can gift your support to Georgia and her two children 🌱
