Did you see the new ‘Not my first Buchan Rodeo’ merch on Easter Sunday?
The funds raised by our honorary committee member Kelly totalled more than $3500 - with 100% back to the rodeo. Thanks for the countless hours you put in making the merch - it’s a champion effort.

Rodeo action! Broncs, Bulls, Ropes and Barrels. Food trucks and stalls, some pretty cool merchandise and a whole lot of fun 👌come and enjoy Easter Sunday

The boring part - the rules:
No BYO alcohol. No dogs.
Identification checks for 18-25 year olds.
Wristbands to show a patron is 18+
No secondary supply of alcohol to under-18s PLEASE DO NOT get us busted for this. TBH we had a heck of a time with the liquor licence and we need everyone to respect the rules so we can continue running our family-friendly event.

Their help on the day is invaluable and they support us in every way they can, even donating some of their time so we can get on with the important job of making a small profit to donate to our community groups like the two Bush Nursing Centres, the school and the early learning centre.

Updated bus times and camping:

First bus pick up at 9:15am Easter Sunday opposite the general store
second pick up - and only pick up - for the cave reserve will be at 9:45am
Bus trips will run all day from the rodeo ground back to the general store.

Camping - there are toilet facilities at Canni Creek racetrack
There are no toilet facilities at the rec reserve
There is camping with toilet facilities at the Caves reserve

As we start preparations for our next rodeo - Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 - we want to give a shout-out to another of our indispensable local services, the Gelantipy District Bush Nursing Centre.
The GDBNC will use our $3000 donation to purchase a defibrillator for W Tree.

Nurse Susie Edwards said there is a defib for public use at Suggan Buggan, Wulgulmerang, and Gelantipy, and the new one for WTree means their patch of the mountains is covered. 👌
