✨💛 My Heart Is Full ✨

I am overflowing with gratitude and pride after witnessing what we created together through the Kwabo Art Incubator last week end.

Friday night’s performance was more than a show, it was a celebration of joy, creativity, resilience, and community. Our incredible Kwabo participants poured their hearts into their art, and in the process, we built something bigger than the stage: new friendships, a family, and a home where culture and stories are honoured.

That spirit carried through the entire 3-day Kwabo Festival. From the breathtaking performance night, to the intimate and powerful community day, to the joyful finale at the Arts Centre Melbourne and our Photography Exhibition "Our Tribe".

Every sacrifice, every late night, every early morning was worth it to see this vision come alive and to see them shine.

To our Kwabo artists: you are the heart of this journey, thank you for joining the program, trusting the process and supporting each other.

To our mentors, volunteers, and interns: I love you all, your care, generosity, and commitment made this vision possible.

To our partners : thank you for your relentless support and generosity.

To our community, near and far: thank you for showing up, for cheering us on, sending the love and for believing in the power of culture as connection.

We came together to celebrate art, but what we discovered was family, belonging, and a future we are building together.

This is not the end, it’s only the beginning.

Thank You to Immigration Museum and their staff

A big thank you to the Immigration Museum Melbourne for warmly welcoming the Kwabo Fest participants and supporting our cultural and artistic journey on week 2. 💛

Meeting with the General Manager added an extra layer of meaning as we reflected on the importance of holding space for diverse stories, truths, and creative voices.

We are especially grateful for the museum’s generous support in waiving entry fees, ensuring all participants could access this important experience free of barriers. 🙏🏾

Thank you for standing with us in honouring culture, memory, and representation through the arts.

Liona leads this workshop series with a beautiful spirit and a gift for bringing out the best in everyone. As a seasoned choir leader and vocal coach, Liona will guide participants to discover how to let sound resonate authentically in the body, unlocking self-expression through voice, presence, and feeling.

With her nurturing approach, participants will learn to sing not just with technique, but with soul, grounding their sound in truth, breath, and lived experience.

Supporting her is , who brings a playful and intuitive approach to songwriting. Liona & DT will offer creative prompts, lyrical games, and storytelling tools to help participants explore their own words and melodies.

This is about finding your sound and letting it rise.
