It is with mixed emotions that we announce that the Sonata of Shadows release has been postponed to later in 2025.
It has been almost 6 years since we released the last installment in the Crumbling Prince universe. We know it's been a long wait and we're so thankful to everyone for their support, patience and excitement about this project over the years.
We planned to release Sonata of Shadows in 2021 until COVID put a halt to production. When we finally emerged from lockdowns, we went straight into survival mode as a business leaving very little room for creativity and absolutely no budget for building another room.
Through the combined efforts of our team and the support of those closest to us, it's taken us years to claw our way back to some semblance of normality as a business. Feeling positively about how everything was going and confident in our plans for the next room, we commenced the build for Sonata of Shadows and set a release date for April 2025.
Though we'd dearly like to make Sonata of Shadows happen through sheer force of will, we've unfortunately run into some entirely fixable but incredibly expensive complications that have affected our ability to progress any further. The simple truth is that we need a little more time to hustle and earn the money required to complete Sonata of Shadows.
We know that this is disappointing news. We're pretty glum about it too. But at the same time, we're so excited for you to experience what we've been working on all this time. So please bear with us for a little longer, Masked Ones.
