A permanent aquisition by Byron Shire Council
Acknowledging Arakwal Elders who fought for Native Title of this area.
The sculptural forms were inspired by ‘Bambaa’ (the Banksia) a floral marker showing the change of season telling us to move, gather and live within different areas across Country.

‘Cockatoo And Cocktails’ a wonderful celebration of the gifting of the sculpture ‘Crackers’ by Mary O’Connor shows a commitment to building the Arts within the community. ‘Crackers’ by artist Andrew Cullen first started its journey into the wild in 2021 showcased at the winning the BNSW Award sponsored by . Was aquired by Mary and loved by community, ‘Crackers’ looked out over Byron for the past 4 years and today it takes flight to its new home at the where it will welcome visitors and continue to beloved by the community!
